The most transformative years of my life were the hardest. I struggled with an intense anxiety disorder that held me back from getting close with people. Nature is always something that has calmed me down and made me feel good. So I began to spend a lot of time exploring in the park by my house in Saint Boniface. Over time I became familiar with every small path, cool tree, and the bend in the Seine River.

The park was a constant in my life, and an escape from my head. I would walk around speaking almost to the park itself, confiding my fears, depression, and frustrations. The park was the most influential thing in my life at that time, more so than any person.

In the video I attempted to convey the loneliness I felt and the beauty and calming properties of the park. The figure in the video is myself, but my face is never shown. I wanted the audience to be able to put themselves in my position and let the park be the main focus of the video.

Phew that was a personal post!
