Take Heart - Pete Coggan
The amazingly talented Pete Coggan has released an EP. Really privileged to have been able to help write "Blessed Hurricane" & "Child Forever". Do purchase the EP, it's only £2.99, absolute bargain that you won't regret

A song i discovered at the tail end of 2014, such beautiful words of invitation for the broken & hurting. I love the line "Earth has no sorrow that heaven can't heal"
In November, i was asked to showcase my song Victorious, which i wrote with my friend Pete Coggan, at the Mission Worship Conference 2014 as part of their New Songwriters Showcase. It was a real privilege to be involved, i definitely wasn't expecting to be asked!
It was great opportunity to play it in front of so many people and i loved the experience. My clip is on from around 2:37, though it's worth watching the whole video as the other guys songs were fantastic.
The most recent song we introduced was a song called Our Father. It's a song based on the Lord's Prayer and fitted in perfectly with our sermon series which was based on this too. It's a brilliant song and it's amazing to hear the church asking for Heaven to break in amongst us when we play it.
We introduced "Christ Is Enough" recently at our meetings. I love how the song brings us back to the truth that all we could ever need is found in Christ and you can't help but start belting out that bridge, love it!
Came across this great article on 25 "confessions" of a worship team on the Hillsong Collected blog. Their definition of a confession is -
A confession is a statement of faith and conviction that unites people around common beliefs. A confession is also the true story behind a situation or person held in question. In other words, confessions tell of "what really happens" up close and personal.
Some stirring confessions here, and i love how it reflects their heart to honour Jesus in everything.
Kat introduced "Sing And Shout" this Sunday. Ever since i heard Matt Redman's album "Your Grace Finds Me" always thought this was a fantastic song. Loving the light up drums on this video!
He Has Risen (Luke 24:5-6)
For the past few weeks i've been working on designing an advert for RFC that will go on the back of some buses round Reading. It's been a great project trying to distil the brand of RFC into an advert. Sean came up with the great headline of "Come As You Are" and hopefully it will grab the attention of a few people. The advert has already rolled out, if you get a chance do grab a picture of a bus with the advert and send it my way Hope you like it!

Oceans is still one of my favourite worship songs at the moment and this acoustic version is stunning. Hopefully something to stir you on this dreary thursday afternoon!
