Great to see all 4 groups in our DMF class taking photos for their stopmotion animation projects today!

To my class and Greg's class- this gives you an indication of when the room we use for DMF (listed as "PC Room") is available to use. As mentioned in class you can also access Photoshop and Premier on plenty of the computers at the main Adelaide TAFE Campus (across the road from us) you can use your same log in to use the computers there. Ask the library staff which computers have the Adobe CS suite on them. That library also has longer opening hours to ours: Monday - Thursday: 8.15 am - 9.00 pm Friday: 8.15 am - 5.00 pm Cheers! Josh

Handing in your assignment next week (Week 5 29/5) at the start of the lesson

to Josh’s USB: - create a folder with your FULL name (as it would appear on the roll) - include: - GIF and Photoshop file (.PSD file) for first GIF (self portrait created in photoshop) - Memes and appropriation GIF created using online GIF generator or Smart Phone App -  conclusion Word document, which also includes the name of your online journal (Tumblr) On your tumblr post: - both GIFS, each clearly labelled and annotated (how you created it etc.) - your conclusion Use tags: acarts, dmffinalgif, dmf, gif FOLLOWING HANDING THE WORK UP TO THE USB WE WILL HAVE A PRESENTATION AND REVIEW OF EVERYONE’S WORK If you think you may have trouble handing the work in contact Josh immediately on his email address which is on your handout :)

Created this in Photoshop. Using the Edit>Transform>Rotate tool to rotate the layers. Had to create an extra layer for each rotation of each skull (Otherwise the layer will be rotated across all of the animation frames) Hard to watch..

Check out this video on the history of type. It may make you think about the use of type in your GIFs. Also a great example of stop-motion animation- the entire video was created from photos of cut paper! Enjoy!

Post Gifs on Tumblr Under 1000kb 450 by 500 pixels Photoshop saving: Bottom left corner will tell you how big your Gif will be. 400 x 400 for example. Colour pallett can reduce or produce more resolution to your Gif. - Save as Gif. - In student...
