So iām just watching youtube, trying to chill out and whenever, when I get a Lego Movie 2 Ad for a video I was watching
do you see that timestamp at the bottom? Yeah, this is apparently 5 hours long.
And at first I was wondering, well is it the entire movie? Noā¦this entire ad is for their newest āeverything is awesomeā type song. It is called āthis song is gonna get stuck inside your headā and I am pretty goddamn sure it is going to repeat that one line over and over until my brain melts
So I am going to see if they really are playing it for 5 hours
10 minutes in. No breaks from looping yet
about half an hour in. I have been staring at what appears to be the child of Jack Frost and Edward Cullen wondering just how is he able to move in the cold if his body is dead
It is only 40 minutes in, and I canāt tell if I am immune to the music, or if my brain has stuck it as background noise
made it one hour and I swear I can hear them say the same line in two different ways
1) This songās gonna get stuck inside your
2) This songās going get stuck inside Joe
hour and 15 minutes
I have now found that even if I mute it I can still hear the song on point to the video
I have made a mistake. I paused the music for like one second. So the music that I hear now is clashing with the pace of the music I heard before

I keep forgetting that I clicked on a different video to begin with. Like every minute I remember that this was an ad, then I just forget again

so, I havenāt wanted to chime in on the like vs reblog discourse because Iāve always kind of been āitās your blog reblog what you wantā but recently the ratio for me has been ridiculous, so I did some research.

sure, itās your blog. post what you want. but when gif makers stop making gifs, donāt say we didnāt warn you. we make gifs to be seen, and if it doesnāt get reblogged, it dies on our blog. itās clear to me that this is a trend and Iām betting it has everything to do with this spike in āaestheticā blogs.
if you like it, please reblog it. all we want is for our work to be seen.

You know that heart sinking feeling when everyone is ok around you and they function with out you and you canāt help but think that their world wonāt stop if you donāt wake up tomorrow. And at that thought your heart send shudders through out your whole body and you can feel your lungs cave in and you scrunch up into a ball and hope that it wonāt hurt to bad. And you lay there and you cry and you sob and weep untill you canāt feel anything other then the shudders your heart is still sending out. And you think about how tomorrow your not going to eat because you donāt deserve it. And you think about how you could run away to the ocean and be in danger and trouble and worry everyone around you but at least someone would see that you needed a hand or a hug or a talk and as least they would look out for you more. And maybe the shudders would fade after you came back but more then anything your afraid theyāll last your life time and this is all you will ever be. The one who wants to run away just to be seen.

Chapter 25 of Choking on Flames is up! :^)
One of the funniest things I ever experienced was when I went to go see John Mulaney live, and halfway through a bit about how expensive college in the States is, he looked down at the sleeve of his suit jacket and just. stopped. dead halt, mid sentence.
And after like three seconds, where weāre all trying to figure out the punchline because the story clearly hadnāt ended, and John Mulaney quietly says,Ā āHas there been tinfoil on my buttons the whole goddamn show?ā
Heād taken his suit to the drycleaner, and theyād wrapped the buttons on the sleeves and the coat with tinfoil to protect them, and John Mulaney didnāt notice until half-way through his set, and was SO FLABBERGASTED that he never did finish the story about college and instead did five minutes on how stupid it was that his buttons were reflecting the light and he just didnāt notice, and in that moment I understood more about John Mulaney as a person than I ever have.
during one of his portland shows, he noticed this like 7 year old girl in the front row and asked her (and her parents) if she āis aware that she is physically here right nowā or if she was just brought along. turns out her favorite john mulaney bit is theĀ āand Iām new in townā bit and that sheās seen all his stuff. He was so shocked and discomforted by the fact a SEVEN YEAR OLD has seen his shows, that he couldnāt get through a bit about donating to charity without interrupting himself at least three times to import good life lessons on this small child, as if that makes up for all the horrible things heās said that she heard
When I saw him in Ft. Lauderdale, there was a bar in the lobby that people kept leaving to go to. At one point, a guy in the front row just got up and BOOKED IT to get drinks. John Mulaney looked over at a woman who was next to the empty seat and asked,Ā āAre you with him? Whatās his name?ā
She was, in fact, with him, and she did tell him her dateās name. John Mulaney considered this, looked around, and unplugged his microphone. Leaning in to us, he told us that we were going to trick this guy so fuckin hard. He said,Ā āAt some point during the show, I am going to stop and say,Ā āWell, you guys know what they say here in Ft. Lauderdale,ā and then you guys are all going to scream backĀ āWE LOVE MILKSHAKES!ā Heāll be so confused.ā
He then continued on with the show as normal, the drinks guy returned to his seat, and that was that for quite a long time. We thought he had forgotten about it until, at some point during what I believe was his McDonaldās drive-thru bit, he shrugged his shoulders and said,Ā āYou guys know what they say here in Ft. Lauderdaleā¦ā
Naturally, we erupted withĀ āWE LOVE MILKSHAKESā and John Mulaney SWUNG around to face the drinks guy and said,Ā āI bet youāre real confused now, huh, JASON?!ā
ah so john mulaney is a chaotic neutral cryptid
i saw him last night and there was a good ten minute interlude where a woman told him everything she found wrong with his suit, including that his pants were too high waisted to which he replied āthatās where my hips areā and someone in the back shouted ālook at that high waisted man heās got feminine hips!ā and he yelled back āthatās my joke! iām offended!!ā
