He smiles at Yozora and moves closer, stopping behind the blonde. Reaching over his shoulder, he pets her hair.

The girl lets out a satisfied hum. It reminds him of the purrs when he pets the strays around UA.

"She's like a cat."

Bakugou snorts, as if agreeing. Then, he snickers at Todoroki. "Doesn't mean you have to pet her like one, dumbass."

With that, Bakugou pulls his arm, and by extension him, forward.

His lids lift, unveiling calm crimsons. "Nah, I thought you were freezing up."

That's why he'd held his face? Todoroki can barely register the thought before Bakugou tugs him down again, fingers strong around his nape this time.

Okay but I’m choosing Bakugou because I am nothing if not a Bakugou Katsuki love dispenser 😌

Anyway!! Bakugou crying but also being super dramatic for no good reason:

So Katsuki really only cries when he’s angry, but!! He’s just as much of an emotional crier as Deku. Like, any extreme emotion has tears streaming down his face. He’s always tried to hold it back, though, because crying is for the weak and all that nonsense, but anger just hits him so hard that he can’t stop the tears.

Time skip and Katsuki has started opening up a lot more to his friends and the people he trusts. He talks to them about his trauma, triggers, and regrets, and he’s met with love and care and support.

Now, that’s all well and good, except…

His body took that as permission to lose any semblance of control over his tear ducts.

So he’s starts crying. A lot more. Like, a lot more.

Cute animals? His eyes are wet.

Kiri calls him manly? His nose gets stuffy.

Glamouroki makes another appearance? River of Tears is open for business.

And he knows it doesn’t mean he’s weak, but that doesn’t stop him from feeling super insecure about his crying. (And he hates that he has this in common with Deku. It’s absolutely terrible. Terrible.)

But!!! Katsuki is nothing if not a problem solver, and his Problem Solving leads him to the best solution in the history of solutions:

Wear red eyeliner.

And not that waterproof stuff.

No, Bakugou Katsuki wants his eyeliner to run streams of vermilion down his cheeks. He wants to evoke pure, unadulterated fear.

He wants students to flee from the sight of his that-animal-has-no-right-being-so-adorable tears. He wants villains to freeze at a glance of his you-hit-one-of-my-insecurities-dead-on cries.

(Not to mention, he feels like a badass when he sees himself. Like, crying what looks like blood? Looking scary? Other than being the number one hero, that’s all Bakugou Katsuki wanted out of life)

Plot twist: He gets this idea from something he used to do when he was younger: He watched a show where a girl’s mascara smeared in the rain, so he started wearing red eyeliner so that when he’d get into physical fights and arguments and started crying (either from pain or his emotions), he could use it as a trap card and scare the other kids away bc they thought he was a demon

(Also why is there no good synonym for tears??? Like??? That is absolutely atrocious of the English language to do.)

ahaha, yess I've been getting that a lot recently. I'm doing good! Thank you for asking :D how are you? spring is just lockdown hell over here but I guess we can all relate to that lmao. I spend most of my time hating on my online classes!

Hi! Don't be worried! I don't plan to discontinue it at all ^_^ Life has just been super hectic and I have had carpal tunnel pains since January due to overworking my hands (I had a busted laptop, so basically I typed on my phone all the time, for term papers as well as my fics and well... not the best idea). It got really bad, to the point that I couldn't move them at times :( So, I've been resting them to recover and yeah, it's gotten a lot better but I still don't have my usual speed. It might take a while, but I'm slowly trying to start again. I hope you guys are still there to read it <3 (thank you for the compliments! it really means a lot that you like my story and writing!)

This one’s really long! its 124k and 25 chapters in and still ongoing! but i really really like it!! Quite angsty but also super lighthearted and funny, basically some things go wrong after the league kidnaps baku and then baku and shiggy get stuck together for a while and they kinda gotta not murder each other if they wanna survive. lets just say things get kinda complicated and Stockholm/ lima syndrome may or may not be part of the problem.

- Scent of the broken written by @katutsukushii

Really good! set in an a/b/o universe (yknow with alpha’s, beta’s and omega’s or something) and i honestly dont really read stuff like that because i dont know a lot about it and therefore im never sure what the hell is going on but yeah! this is really good and also angsty. im very excited to see what happens next tbh but its about an omega katsuki who gets rescued from a Not Good place and then he gets adopted by the erasermic fam (with shinso). Make sure you read the tags if you wanna read this one cause it can be triggering. 

- Blame it on me

Foster care au! Again, baku gets adopted into the erasermic fam! There is angst but also quite a lot of fluff. Also this ones already finished, it has 20 chapters but i do believe its been made into a series and there’s another fic thats just started in that series. 

- Spiteful written by @lawgrain 

omfg this one is sooooo good i love it!! it baku being the beautiful petty bitch he is but its completely justified!!! hatsume helps him too and everyone is being an asshole and its honestly just some prime baku angst!! its so good seriously

- Social media 101

Okay at this point im literally going through my bookmarks and thinking “!!!!!” everytime i find another fic i can’t not add but this is So Good!! It deals with baku and the media and baku is honestly suffering so damn much it brings me pain istg if he doesnt get help soon in this fic i Will riot.

THIS IS SO GOOD! still ongoing and its been awhile since the author has updated (which isnt a problem of course, im not complaining) BUT ITS SO GOOD!! Some serious bakusquad angst and they are suffering and its straight up not a good time cause theyre kind of maybe dying and we dont know what exactly happened yet but we’re slowly finding out.

Check out this author in general! They’re really good! Anyway,, BAMF bakugou and Jiro!! they get stuck in a mall with a villain and between the hostages, the loss of their quirks, and a bunch of people trying to hunt them down, it’s safe to say they’ve got some minor issues they’re dealing with.

also, i dont want to spoil anything but i will just say that bakugou does acquire a gun. Need i say more?

* BNHA MANGA SPOILERS *

After sort of catching up to the manga happenings, I wanted to talk about why the casual reader skews in one direction when choosing to sympathise with Dabi or Endeavour, and my personal thoughts.

I think it's about what an individual thinks is the worse crime:

Bringing a woman and children into your world to use like tools and abuse them (children you made dependent on you and who have only you as a guide to the larger world) and shattering their cores and psyche?

OR

Jarringly murdering and injuring people as you please, viewing people as an ends to a mean with no value for life, hurting and villifying other victims because you can't see past your own victimhood and thirst for revenge?

On one side intended murder is unquestionably horrible (definitely bigger in terms of violence) but childhood trauma can be incredibly personal.

In a way, you could say that the person you're inflicting pain upon being dependent on you, being a child who is in that position because you brought them here, makes it more emotionally charged as a wrongdoing.

For these reasons, I don't think I'll ever personally like Endeavour. But I can appreciate how the story is moving forward with nuance. And as a reader, I can appreciate the validity of his character, and Dabi's as well. I hope Touya can be saved and redempts, and Endeavour atones for the sake of the whole family. Neither of them deserve the goodness that is Shouto, Fuyumi, Natsuo and Rei, but these four hella deserve to get back all the hard work they've been putting into healing.

I suppose that's why I feel indifferent towards Dabi. I have already desensitised myself to his crimes because to me he is just another murderer on the loose with a tragic backstory he's blowing up for sympathy points. Nobody has ever looked to him for guidance, or as a 'savior'. But Endeavour represents the very thing I despise and encounter in my real life. A selfish, abusive, neglectful parent who presents as a saint in society. The very contrast feels like betrayal. Imagine growing up under his regime.

Just don't put the puzzle pieces back as though they always fit.
