i forgot to jump, steady now

but discontent

how long since i dived

into the shallows, into the depths of my blood

my flesh, my organs

swirling around, playing with it

identifying each cell, questioning it's energy

i wonder now at my capacity to become anew

am i still new,

or

can i create a false newness

to begin to explore again

slamming the glass door, till it shatters

i will not be kept out

of the room i deserve to be in
