First of all...who puts a big horse statue in the middle of the street!?! Hahaha. I think that's Pike's Peak in the background. Our drive back to Denver Airport through some countryside horse property made me want to move here. Then...they have Twin Peaks. Hmmmm. More NHL Stadium Series stuff! So much fun! Sam Hunt performed and we were right there. We won't forget this. Great game. Tyler Toffili scored a hat trick and we won the game. Who knew!?! OMG. And then...there was the traffic out. Thank God Waze was smart enough to take us the back way through the academy around majority of the traffic and saved us TONS of time. Great game! GO KINGS GO! Arriving at the United States Air Force Academy for our Stadium Series game between our Los Angeles Kings vs Colorado Avalanche, we were treated to beautiful views, awesome static aircraft, and watching some of our cadets practicing aerobics in their gliders and jumping out of planes! Everyone had a great time hanging out at the LA Kings meet up at Atomic Cowboy. Saw some old friends. Met some new friends. Hung out with Fox Sports West's very own Carrlyn Bathe. Veteran Nick Nixon from Kings radio sat and had some big ass pizza with us. Daryl Evans and Alex Faust were there also. Dominique and Trasi were there too! It was packed. They weren't ready for us. Had some time to kill before the Los Angeles Kings meet up, so we stopped in Manitou Springs to do some sampling. I sampled some natural spring water. I think there are like 7 natural springs but a few ran dry already. I sampled some fine beer and a concoction of sorts at Townhouse Sports Bar. That one time after the Avs vs Caps game when you go walk out in the 20 degree snowy icy night to find a bar...amazing drinks at this place. Mixologists are on point.
