i have carved my body into art . the importance of tattoos in the john wick universe .

tattoos , within the high table network , are more than a form of self-expression &. personal identity . although not completely mandatory &. up to personal option , most people working for THE HIGH TABLE &. the seats themselves do have tattoos related to their craft , affiliation or even rank . some organisations also use tattoos as a form of permanent contract . others will adopt them in order to imprint their ' tickets ' ( i.e. a singular favour the organisation is obligated to carry out ) , which can only be lifted by completely disfiguring the tattoo with a branding iron of that particular organisation , as the old customs of the table command . once tattooed , the person cannot remove them or cover them with another tattoo by their own free will as it may be consider an act of mistrust , misconduct &. / or betrayal .

aside from his room in rome's continental hotel, john resides in the fifth floor of an one-bedroom apartment a few meters away from the colosseum. the spacious place offers a few vibrant colors that contrast his minimalistic-splattered home back in new york city. the views beyond the windows provide an excellent panoramic opportunity to enjoy the local ambiance &. bathe in the morning sun during summertime.
