Joy Updates:

Hey everyone, I hope you've all been well and are safe during these crazy temperatures and weather.

I'm here with a few updates regarding my inactivity. As some of you might have noticed I have been less active and I wanted to explain why.

After I got diagnosed with my slow working thyroid years back, I've been struggling to hold a job. Thankfully in February I got in contact with a government organisation that helps all kinds of people find a job they can do. The first step however was testing what you can do. Which is understandable and I'm super fortunate we've got something like that to begin with. It's been going well and I'm almost done with this part.

Sadly I noticed my lack of energy. First I figured it would be the stress due to being somewhere new but after seeing no improvements, I got my blood checked and sadly my thyroid decided to be a little bitch again. They also noticed a severe vitamin D deficiency so I changed meds and start inhaling that d to hopefully get some of my energy back.

Sadly the heatwave hasn't made things any easier and that triple combo made it too hard to keep up with everything.

So if I'm late with anything or haven't responded. Please know I am catching up with everything slowly but surely!!

With that said I am wishing you all a Happy Pride Month and a Happy Tyria Pride for my awesome GW2 peeps

A character from my world building project titled Laequris Lym, I wanted to include him as part of my Art Fight character roster so I've been slaving away on an updated ref for the last 9 days.

I've had this OC since 2005 but the last time I actually drew him was in 2014 so yeah, he needed an update. I had another character from the same project planned but I won't have time to finish up his ref sheet unfortunately. Oh well.

But yeah this guy is very precious to me <333333 And I do look forward to working on this story again. Maybe I'll make a side blog for it at some point.

Opening 3 slots for June/July. Payment is via Ko-Fi or PayPal. I got hit with a 2000,- therapy bill. Which is is like 80% ish covered thankfully but it can take up 3 to 4 months before that money is transferred back. Don't you just love it when instances demand you pay within 14 days else we hit you with a fine but whenever they have to pay money back suddenly they take up to 30 business days :') ANYWHOOOOOO.... I have 1 commission left, which I'm almost done with. So I'm opening new slots for end of this month and the next! This means prolly in the last week of June I'm starting the new commissions throughout July. If you are interested in something that isn't listed feel free to DM me! I'm also open for spicy stuff but you'll only find that on my Blue. Thank you!

Happy June and happy Pride, everyone! If there's any month where I actually make my announcement post on time, this is the one to do it - next Saturday (June 6th) will be the first Saturday of a new month, which means it's time for another art party hosted by my guild, [VS] Verdant Shield!

For those not familiar, art parties are a concept carried over from Final Fantasy XIV: in-game get-togethers for artists of all kinds to hang out, chat, and create together! For GW2 parties there’s more of an emphasis on hanging out and gathering references during the party itself, and then in the days/weeks following to work on your creations at your own pace and then post to the shared art party tag. We’ve used the same one (#VSArtParty) since the very beginning so you can go allll the way back and explore what people have made! The most important thing to keep in mind though is this: the ‘goal’ of an art party isn’t to be drawn, but to draw others, and share with the community!

Time and /squadjoin information is below the cut, but will also be posted again on the day of the party as squads go up!

Location Information:

I've decided to make the Lion's Arch Gate in Gendarran Fields the Official June/Pride Party Location™, since it's a spot that Tyria Pride marchers have passed through every year, and will pass through again later this month during the event! It's super easy to get to via either the literally-right-there Cornucopian Fields Waypoint, or by walking north out of Lion's Arch (Trader's Forum Waypoint would be closest)!

Time & Squad Details:

As always, there’ll be two parties - the first one on EU servers and the second on NA ones - with an hour break in between!

The EU server party will begin at 9pm Central European Summer Time (aka 3pm Eastern Daylight Time or 5 hours before in-game reset). I’ll be hosting this one on my EU alt account, so please either /whisper or /squadjoin Paranomalous Plexxi for a taxi invite if you don’t end up on the right map!

The NA server party will begin 1 hour after the EU party’s official end, at 7pm Eastern Daylight Time (aka 1am Central European Summer Time or 1 hour before in-game reset). I’ll be on my main account for this one, so please /whisper or /squadjoin Kirslyn for a taxi invite if you don’t see my customary white cat tag hanging around on your map!

Closing Words:

You of course aren't obligated to change up your outfit for the festivities, but feel free to do so (or bring any of those Pride-themed cryptids I've seen lurking out there) if you feel like it! At the end of the day these events are for all of you guys, and I really do enjoy hosting them even if I've been on the quiet side lately! Have fun out there, and I'll see you soon! ♥
