X: How would you categorize your fanfic reading? Are you a voracious reader? Do you carefully pick and choose? Something in between?

Not voracious.. I don’t watch the sport so its not easy to get into stuff about players others might know a lot about. Mostly I read fic by friends / people whose writing I already know.

If I am just scrolling the tag it helps if the opening punches me in face or is prettily / distinctively written haha. Not saying that is what makes writing good, I am just shallow :P I do think there are some really interesting styles in football rpf and I really enjoy this about the fandom.

Actly I just read a fic yesterday where the dialogue and the way people talked inside their heads felt very cool - this one.

Z: Is there a story you’ve written that doesn’t seem to get much love?

I have maybe 2 or 3 fics that felt very personal to me and where I had a lot of fun with the writing (bird Paolo Rossi / Paolo Maldini x reader / maybe beach fling if I still like it in a month lol) and they are all fics that fewer people have read even relative to the pairing tag and/or me being the one writing it. It doesn’t surprise me as those ones end up veering into not really being about the characters people love and want to read about, so the bar is higher? Anyway I write partly to get better at making it worth anyone’s while to read the weird ones :-)

Haha thank you I enjoyed both! I like how they both sound a bit pert and have a bit of attitude. Imo that is very Paolo (and also very Sandro).
