So quick update. Nothing bad, just a little life blurb:

If you don't know, my current legal name is Baby. I made this change when I was in a manic episode and and when I came out of it I ended up regretting it, which is why I've changed it socially so many times.

However, after some thought and some playing around with it, i've actually honestly enjoyed going by it again. It's unique and whimsical, and I'm pretty sure I'm the only person on earth with this name, so it's pretty special for that.

I'm gonna keep going by Ophelia in vanilla circles, but because I do go by Baby in others, I've decided I'm not gonna legally change it again, mostly cuz I don't wanna have to go thru the expensive and stressful process all over again.

So consider Ophelia a nickname. Cuz I still really like it and don't wanna drop it, but yeah, call me either Baby or Ophelia. Either is cool. Shorthand for the latter is also good. ^^

There's something about bedwetters. 🤤

In theory, being a pantswetter should be more embarrassing than bedwetting. You're awake and fully conscious and you still can't hold your tinkles? You're so pathetic that you need to wear pull-ups or diapers everywhere you go? But then, if you're in 24/7 padding, it becomes normalized. You learn to manage your condition and it stops making you blush once you realize no one is whispering about you. If you have partners, there's no secret to hide after the first encounter. They already know, and they've either accepted you or rejected you.

But being a bedwetter. You have a transition period every night where you kiss your adulthood goodbye and wrap yourself up in childish padding, because your dumb-dumb sleepy brain can't help but go potty all over the mattress. You can't let yourself fall asleep after having adult fun with someone, because you know you'll both wake up in a wet bed; it's the nightmare scenario in the back of your mind. Bedtime diapering may become routine, but not exactly normal. Every sunset is a reminder that it's time to stop playing grown-up and put on your pampers. There's no escape.

Yes, give me bedwetters. 🥰

Don't Babyproof, Babyprepare

In a household with two adults, it isn't practical that the caregiver is going to do 100% of the chores while the diapered dummy just rolls around peeing themselves all day.

But the solution doesn't have to be an ON/OFF switch where your partner fully leaves their humiliating, imposed childhood in order to handle a few responsibilities. You just need to make changes at home to accomodate someone who's always crawling, drooling, and filling their pamps. It's important that they feel pathetic and small even when they're contributing.

🥫 A mini fridge and low cabinet stocked with all the essentials for making dinner. Get a coffee table, toaster oven, and hot plate so they can prep your meals without ever getting off their knees.

☎️ An old Sesame Street phone with a landline, along with paper and crayons. Now they can make appointments and work calls without you giving them access to their grown-up cell phone!

🛒 Get them a little plastic shopping cart with a cover so they can safely push things around (e.g. laundry, groceries) without standing up or using their muscles.

🧽 You get a proper vacuum cleaner...they get a hand vac. You get a broom...they get a feather duster. You get a mop...they get a sponge. It may take them longer to finish a room, but that's what they get for letting you turn them into a drooling toddler.

👐 Anything they need — toothbrushes, towels, cutlery, clean bibs — should be stored close to the floor, within easy reach. As a funny joke, you can set no-no things like candy, alcohol, or the keys to their locking diaper cover out on tables or countertops. Since they're not allowed to stand, they can't reach these things anyway!

Power Exchange ideas with your little

Take away their adult privileges when they get home.

Restrict screen time

Make them ask for food, littles need help to get those things!

Make them change into a diaper, pull-ups or training pants to enforce the fact that they are little and need this just in case. You should probably help them into their little gear too tops!

Ask them if they need to go to the bathroom periodically, especially before car ride or when out in public, make them go potty even when they say they’re fine. Do they really know? Can you really trust a littles judgement? :P

Stop them when they try to do things for their selves and remind them just how small they are.

Run their bath for them, even if they don’t want to have a bath! You’re their caregiver, you take care of them and make these decisions for them!

Give a list of chores to do while you’re away, punish/ground them if they don’t follow through.

If they’ve been on the computer for too long stop them. They’re too little to spend that much time on a computer, coloring in a coloring book is more appropriate for somebody their age.

Encourage them when being little, remind them that it is okay to be little around you ♡

Be sincere in your interest when they are being little, playing, coloring etc.

Understand that your little is not a slave and isn’t going to be as easily told to do things like a slave might. Expect some resistance at times they are the child in this, they do pout and fuss.

You are their caregiver, so care for them as if they were a child, and make sure that they know that they are the child here. That’s the whole point of a power exchange relationship in this context.
