My 2016 haul. Things I have learned this week

I cannot NaNo and Tumblr. Tumblr sucks up waaaaay too much of my time and motivation.

It does not matter how much I outline, plot, follow story structure etc. My characters get on the page and do whatever the hell they like. I think this might be a good thing?

I will never be that writer who finishes a draft at about the right word count or maybe needs to find more words. Nope. Editing is always going to be cut, cut, cut.

I should have read ADSOM ages ago. Seriously. What was I thinking, leaving it sitting there on my Kindle unread? My new precious babies!

Kindle & eBooks does not save me money. Because then I love the eBook and flail over and have to go and buy a hard copy as well and all the rest of the series and everything else the author has ever written… 

(^^ This may or may not also be about ADSOM. But at least I can call myself a Schwablin now)
