If you are a book person like I'm a book person, y'all will understand how bad this is bothering me 🤣🤣🤣
I try to keep my book sets uniform, but sometimes it's hard. With the Mortal Instruments series, I had a mix of paperback and hardcover and had decided at the time to just get the paperbacks. However, it is hard to find City of Heavenly Fire in paperback with the original artwork, and in the larger PB size. So I'm in the process of upgrading all of my paperbacks to hardcovers, and the newer books that I've been purchasing I'm trying to do in hardcover. But that explains why I have so many duplicates on my shelf LOL
For the All Souls series (I've only read the first book so far but I loved the show), the two paperbacks were Christmas gifts from a Secret Santa who did not pay attention to which format was on my wish list 🤣. Same thing with the Grishaverse but in reverse. I had paperbacks at first, got Scars and Wolves as presents, and bought the other two as new releases.
My Walkind Dead books are all bagain/Goodwill finds (except for Typhoon, which was another gift), and I think the compendiums only common paperback so those will stay mixed.
I really wish book publishers would release hardcover and paperbacks at the same time so we can decide which one we want when the book is released. I know, First World problems, but still.
