Veterans Day Parade • New York City, NY • 11/11/18
Did anyone else march in this parade? 🇺🇸
Got my new uniform today! School starts in two weeks, and my uniform is still a bit empty because we haven’t gotten our JCLC awards :( the award ceremony is not until September, so I won’t be officially promoted to First Sergeant until then :’( I’m excited though, this year will be great. I’m planning on becoming an honor guard member this year which will be great! The medal I got, Superior Cadet, was a pain in the ass to put on, it almost made me cry. But, it was worth it, I’m so proud of all the work I’ve done my freshman year, and I’m ready to move forward into this sophomore year!

Getting back to business, school is starting soon! New Cadet Week is here and I delivered on the briefings for all marksmanship instruction... our priority on marksmanship is always safety and we made sure the new cadets understood the value of it throughout their training. (: I also, of course, helped provide the basic drill instruction and uniform class to better prepare the new cadets for the school year. Who is taking the SAT on the 25th in Winchester, VA? I’m going by myself and I’m terrified!!! Have a nice day and enjoy the rest of your summer!!! C/CPT J Pasette

Campus Orientation Workshop

It was a long day in high school
After the regular hours had passed
With only the marching kids
One two one two one two
And the theater kids
To give the old building life
A hot stuffy cafeteria
With around 30 children
In ugly green uniforms,
Impatient for the 4 o’ clock end.
“Present, Arms.” “Order, Arms.”
The sharp inflection of a shy kid adapting to fit a whole auditorium.

Hey Guys, new blog!
I am a c/SSG, becoming a 1SG this upcoming year. I will be the Charlie Company First Sergeant for this next school year, which will be my sophomore year. I went to JCLC Eagle in June and it was amazing! I got the experience and preparation for my job and the patience to deal with stupid subordinates. I will be keeping this blog updated with JROTC things going on at my school. A few people might know me from my main blog @thedarklordwholewheat where I have been posting a lot of jrotc things this past year. But now I figured I might as well start a jrotc blog! Hopefully this blog will be more busy because I’m going to be on more teams this year. If you want to talk about JROTC stuff hmu, but it might take me a bit to respond considering I’m an asocial ass 😂

Practice and Perform
Practice like you’ve never won. Perform like you’ve never lost.
Army JROTC cadets hate Curriculum Manager. It sucks and the presentations lack content. It’s better to make your own presentations based on the textbook. Also, if anyone is interested in any of the classes I made for my cadets, feel free to DM me. I’d be happy to share them with you to use in your battalion. (:
Hi there, cadets! I returned from JCLC Success 2018 Saturday afternoon (more on that later) and I wanted to touch base with the leaders of tomorrow... In this post I’ll be discussing the benefit of the Google Application Suite because of how much it has helped me and my cadets train, plan, and organize together. The Google Application Suite is just like Microsoft Office (except free!) and documents, slideshows, etc can be shared directly by email address from any device, 24/7. The applications I use the most are: - Google Documents (equal to Word) - Google Slides (equal to PowerPoint) - Google Drive I am able to access and edit the items I use for training and evaluation, etc... and also share it with others. The pictures provided show that I can find, edit, and present everything I have from my mobile device, which is the best part. It also saves automatically, shows the editing history, and allows comments on your work so your peers can give feedback. Therefore, if you don’t have Microsoft Office... and you want a way to quickly share your work, this is a great way. Even my SAI likes Google, and he’s pretty old fashioned! C/CPT Pasette
