What is JSAB Start Over?

Start over is a 6 part animated series in the making that retells the story of Just Shapes and Beats. Follow the adventures of the players as they explore what the lands of Paradise has to offer.

When will this series start/be finished?

There is no official date for when anything will happen currently. This project is still in early development and is only run by 3 people so far so don’t expect anything of note to come anytime soon.

Where can I watch the series?

All episodes will be posted to YouTube once they’re finished.

What is this blog going to be about regarding the series?

This blog will be focusing on updates and announcements regarding the Start Over series along with behind the scenes content and extra artwork.

If you’re interested in the series’ progression or the series in general, this blog will be the place to visit once more updates and content is released. Please be patient when it comes to new episodes and releases, especially since this project is far from being finished and is still on the story boarding phase for the latter half of the episodes. Also remember to be mindful and respectful to others and the team behind this series.

The first test animation had been officially uploaded. As said in the videos description, I’ve been tackling this project solely by myself, so production has been slow. All trailers and episodes will be uploaded to the DoodleBox YouTube channel, so keep an eye out.

Update log #1

The animation and storyboarding for episodes 1, 2, and 3 are still being worked on. Along with that, there are some smaller animated videos that are also being sketched out. The gif above is a rough sketch section from one of the aforementioned smaller videos. Please note that the low resolution of the gif is due to it being in said GIF format instead of an MP4 format.

I also wanted to say thanks for all of the support that’s been given to this project so far. It’s been wonderful seeing your feedback and excitement for the series, even if it’s still in early development. Your encouragement has been the motivation for us to continue and persevere through this animation process.
