Reflecting on my year and how i got to travel to japan twice :) once with my serengetee.  Can’t wait for more and what’s to come next.  I know Serengetee means different things to everyone.  For me, though, it’s a reminder of the diversity in the world - that there is so much more to see and learn.  I want to travel more x)

Thank you Serengetee, for this great opportunity - reminding me of what’s important (my dreams) and bringing the awareness of different issues to my attention.  West coast is the best coast of course.  Can’t wait to see how the company will grow and what it will become :)

Idea #2:

Can’t not love swirls.  It’s always a part of my doodle so having a black and white swirl patch would be awesome.  It would be easy to match with other clothes and simple.  Also hipster.

Would definitely appreciate it if this represented Canada.  Specifically Vancouver and its hipster vibes.  Our great coffee shops and dessert places <3 yum. Swirls are starting to look like cotton candy..

so I went to Japan! Tokyo! Decided to rep Serengetee when I went to Ueno. My Japan serengetee is coming in the mail soon so I can’t wait.

Idea #1.5: Couples

Also from my exchange with my coworker, I realized he intended to purchase 2 shirts to be a couple shirts! 

It would be a great idea to have clothing that are catered for couples.  For example, a patch for the guy and a patch that is for the girl.

Couples bracelets would also be a great addition to the existing products and easy to progress into.  For example, having a charm that would represent the male and one for the female.  Or the different thickness.

Idea #1:

Despite being neighbours to the USA, there isn’t many variety to the Canada options.  I am not the best animal drawer out there, but an idea is to use a beaver!  Not only is my ability to draw animals a limitation, but I think using a cartoonish version of an animal will be more attractive to customers.  

My conversation with my coworker made me realize that he really liked the panda fabric because it was cute.  He liked that it was a bear and that out of the other fabrics, like my Yangon, he liked how it was easy to blend in with his other clothing.  It was also a cute gift idea for his girlfriend.

The beaver, of course, was chosen because it’s the animal of Canada!

Note to self:

My coworker complimented on how cute my pocket shirt looked.  He browsed through the site and really liked the Panda patch.  It was cute and he considered getting it for his girlfriend and him.

My complex background with Myanmar made me want to support a cause there and wear Myanmar.  My dad was born there and I grew up eating Burmese food despite being full Chinese (from Hong Kong) and a Canadian citizen.  However, a part of my heart still goes out to Myanmar and the wonders it holds.  This shirt supported stopping child prostitution - Yangon :)

Start

Receiving my package was the start of my journey as a part of Serengetee.  The idea of supporting a great cause around the world is a reminder to myself that I could always do something to help - that there is always someone out there I can reach out to and do something for.  I want to travel the world and see the world.
