A simple “sorry” isn’t enough
Just… sit down, and let your mind wander for a bit.
Think of how easily misguided you can be are, about how clickbait tabloids can literally wash your brain and make you believe anything.
Johnny Depp suffered mentally and physically, for years.
His family suffered too; fuck, his daughter even had to stop posting pictures of him (and delete the ones already posted) on her social network because people like you sent the poor girl literal death threats without thinking about the possible consequences of those vile words!
His coworkers suffered as well, not nearly as much as him and the ones closest to him, but still (e.g. the shitstorm on J.K. Rowling, Nina Dobrev having to delete the photo she took with him, Disney dropping him from PotC…).
Even fans like us, his “relatives”, mere mortals who didn’t give up on him just because we were sane enough to wait for actual evidence, were trashed.
No, not every rich white cis male person on the planet is a disgusting piece of shit that should be bashed and buried. And most definitely not every woman is a delicate flower that needs protection and utter belief.
Men can be (and are) victims.
Women can be (and are) abusers.
Donate to charities in his name.
Support his movies and side projects by paying to see/buy them.
Send messages to his colleagues on any social media saying sorry (yes, I’m alluding to J.K., another DV victim who stood by his side all through those awful threats and ugly words that were sent her way).
Don’t pay to see nor buy any movie/product that she’s in/is an ambassador of.
Message companies asking them to drop her (again, yes, I’m alluding to L’Oréal and their insane PR team who dared to delete comments - by real DV survivors - on an Instagram post of her trying to shut us all up: still, they can’t delete as many comments as we can write).
Most importantly, next time something like this comes up, wait a bit until you can find and read real evidence submitted to the court, instead of pointing fingers and ruining innocent people’s careers and lives.
Lastly, to the ones that still can’t wrap their heads around this whole mess, so they try to justify her behavior by saying stuff like “surely they both must have been abusive to each other”, I can only say: you’re disgusting human specimens, and I hope that you’ll never have to experience abuse in your life, because then you’ll have to eat up all the shit you’re saying now, so please, if you could just, for fuck’s sake - be gone.
