Replaying Botw
Some of my thoughts, because this is my blog dang it!
The Gerudo quest is best in both games.
Guardians are terrifying what the fuck!
The Master Sword feels incredible what with it making Guardians deal with-able!!!
Link and Zelda are such good friends in this one....
Zelink is only viable because Mipha and Urbosa are dead.
Everyone calls Link small and skinny... like, he's a twink, yeah, but he's also really obviously beefed?
Gerudo ladies have armor. Why can I not buy lady Gerudo armor?
I guess boob plates would be harder to fit than cloth, but surely there's flat chested Gerudo out there.
A lot of what makes this game fun is letting the vibes take you where they take you. You can really easily trivialize a lot of the game by playing optimally, but the game gives you so many good reasons to not do that.
The 5th divine beast - Master Cycle Zero is so funny to me.
Tbc I don't have the DLCs, but I heard *about it* and it's incredible to me!
Say what you will about the Gerudo vai outfit, but that was some of the first trans affirmation 17 year old me got, and it'll always hold such a special place in my heart.
People really don't respond to it outside of Gerudo town proper, like nearly at all. I was surprised by this, but the clinging desperation to be called a girl was familiar and frankly I don't need it anymore. I'm ok with Link being called a studly twig boy. It's genuinely a charming part of the game.
Cherry's story is lowkey just a really down to earth sad and well written story.
You hear about it in Robbie's memoirs and it's such a small thing.
Guy named something after his dead wife. His new wife does her best but can't hide that it does hurt her how her husband talks to this talking object.
And if we assume Cherry is a sentient creature, the idea of having your verbal capacities limited for what must feel like arbitrary reasons...
Idunno
I just find it interesting.
Dinraal you piece of shit why are you so inconsistent!
