Final artfights
This may sound kinda stupid but I thought of it while reading the cockatrice’s description in the dungeon meshi adventure bible
Cockatrice venom could be really useful in medicine, right?
This might sound stupid but hear me out
i don’t remember if they ever mentioned the pain of losing a limb when petrified, but assuming it’s not much, it’d be a great asset if amputation was ever neccecary. All you’d need is to give them the venom, break off the limb, and then cast a spell to bring the patient back, right?
Furthermore, it may be useful for plastic surgery too, particularly stuff like tummy tucks or nose jobs? Like you’d just need to be a good sculptor right? Oh and top surgery too, you could get petrified and have them carve off your chest into the desired size. This also could mean that really interesting body mods could be performed via petrification too but idk.
I would serve a Cockatrice with brown and wild rice or rice pilaf along with Italian-cut green beans and garnished with lemon slices
Revenge for Thorntails. <3
This one features a lesser-known mythological creature called a cockatrice (a two-legged dragon with the head of a rooster that can kill just by looking at someone), a weasel and a human who has clearly perished.
Why a weasel? According to mythology, the weasels are the only creatures immune to a cockatrice’s glare and is its natural enemy.
I love the design of the cockatrice, it’s simple but so appealing. I love the angry look on the little weasel’s face, he looks so brave and determined like he’s telling the cockatrice “you don’t scare me!”
Not too much to say on this one, I just wanted to share because I still really like it.
