Jude comes from generations of wealth. His family was traditional and extremely conservative. His father was especially bigoted and made it very clear that he wasn’t accepting of any sort of ‘alternative lifestyles’. By the time Jude had reached puberty, he knew he was gay. A fact that brought him immense shame. He knew he couldn’t come out, even if he wanted to. So, Jude decided to suppress those urges and force himself to live a life that his family, and society, would approve of. Jude went on to attend Yale, where he met his future wife.
Jude graduated with two bachelor degrees and started his family at the age of 22. He wasn’t involved much in the raising of his children, instead focusing on his career. Throughout the coming years, Jude was able to utilize his charisma, ambition, and intelligence to grow his net worth, found several companies, and become one of the richest men in not only America, but the world.
Despite being majorly successful in his career, there was always a void inside of Jude that he could never seem to fill. His sexuality was, and had always been a secret. But as he got older, Jude began to stray from his marriage. As time went on he grew more distant and his encounters with men became more frequent. By the time his children were coming of age, Jude had been with too many men to count. He’d managed to keep his affairs a secret from his family for years. But eventually, his wife caught on. There were attempts made to work through the rift but in the end, they decided to separate.
