Is your bookcase bursting with books? Have you started stacking books in a corner to make more room for new ones? Do you have any books that are just sitting on your shelf wasting space? Do you have a few books that you’d like to give away? My friend Jen and I are hosting a charity book drive (click here to find out more) we are gathering books that we receive from those who make a donation (this could be you!!) and we give them to low income and poverty stricken areas. Normally I am the one who gives away books on this blog but now is the opportunity for you to give. Instead of you receiving a new book you’ll be the one giving others the gift of reading. Let me tell you, as someone who has donated books to charity and even given away books on tumblr it feels amazing to make someones day with a book!

So, how can you help out? How can you donate a book and share your love of reading with those who are less fortunate? It’s really simple! Go through your personal library (your bookcase) and see if there are any gentle used books you’d like to donate! It could be a book that you loved and you want to share that with someone else. It could even be a book that you hated and you just want to make room on your shelf for another book. We’re not asking for a lot. We are only asking for you to donate one book. The book that you give away can brighten someones day so please consider donating.
