Hello Astrotumblr!

My name is Judy and I'm a fan of astrology, been studying charts for years and I'm finally choosing to post about it lol

My observations are mostly based off of my own chart and the charts of people I know/met. I also only use the tropical system, a fair warning to anyone using something else

things i thought certain placements meant vs what they actually seem to mean in real life ♡

• i thought libra placements would always be soft, sweet, and people pleasing but honestly a lot of them are just extremely socially aware. they know how to read a room instantly, notice tone shifts immediately, and usually understand what people really mean before everyone else does.

• i thought scorpio moons would be emotionally expressive and intense outwardly. meanwhile most of the ones i know would rather disappear from society entirely than openly admit they’re hurt. even if u have an aqua stellium, your scorpio moon will be noticeable.

• every gemini mars i’ve met either types insanely fast, interrupts people accidentally, starts speaking before fully organizing their thoughts, or mentally argues with people for entertainment.

• i used to think capricorn placements were emotionless but honestly they just seem very controlled. a lot of them feel things deeply, they just hate appearing emotionally messy in front of other people.

• virgo placements notice absolutely everything. tone changes, weird wording, behavioral patterns, tiny details about people. and then they slowly lose their mind because nobody else notices those things.

• people always describe venus in leo as “attention seeking” but most venus in leo people i know just want genuine appreciation. they remember compliments forever and put a surprising amount of effort into making other people feel special too.

• sagittarius placements constantly claim they “hate drama” while somehow living the most cinematic, chaotic, badly timed lives imaginable. a sag rising is always in the middle of the drama.

• i thought pisces placements were emotionally weak when i was younger but now i honestly think a lot of them are just overwhelmed by absorbing too much at once. they pick up on atmospheres and emotions so quickly that they eventually need to escape from everything.

• every air dominant person i know says things like “it’s not that serious” and then proceeds to overanalyze the interaction internally for the next nine hours straight. the real nonchalants are earth doms.

• heavy 8th house people either become deeply psychologically aware or completely consumed by their own patterns. there’s rarely an in-between with them.

• leo risings genuinely look brighter when they feel loved, admired, or noticed. their energy changes instantly and it’s actually very obvious.

• libra mercuries have a very specific talent for saying something brutally honest in the politest wording imaginable.

• mutable sign dominant people adapt to different environments so easily that sometimes it genuinely feels like they have five different personalities depending on who they’re around.

• cancer placements remember things from years ago with terrifying emotional accuracy. especially small moments that nobody else even noticed happened.

• i’ve noticed people with strong saturn placements usually become funnier as they get older. it’s like life starts them off too serious and then eventually something snaps.

Today is my solar return and Im ngl gang this chart is really uh....something.

This is probably related to me graduating from university this year....would explain why it's such a massive shift

Thoughts on Sun conjuct Venus 8th house?

I'm going to assume this is in the natal chart lmao

Sun is self and Venus is femininity. She is also a symbol for sex just as much as Mars is.

In a natal chart, it can mean that you gain wealth through women. Perhaps sleeping with a wealthy woman, or getting wealth through someone in your mother's family. Could also be your own femininity

check where the ruler of the house sits. if 8th house is virgo and your mercury sites in the 1st, then that means its more focused on you and your own self rather than what you may receive from others

the conjuction means that you likely have something venusian about yourself. Could mean the desire for luxury, or perhaps even being something like an OF model

heyy I saw your solar return post about seem like you know a lot about it so I wanted to ask what does it mean if I have both Saturn and Neptune in the 7th house, Pluto in the 5th, and North Node in 7th? I've only heard bad things about it so I'm scared 😭 thank you!!

The strength of planets in a solar return depend on where they land in your natal chart as well as aspects the have to the solar return sun.

Personally don't believe that these are bad aspects though. I like to keep a positive outlook on everything

With 5th house Pluto, any 5th house activities are likely going to expand. However, this is a slow moving planet, so we have to take it with a grain of salt.

Things that I imagine will be more pertinent:

hobbies

children

crushes

the arts

Obviously, this could mean different things depending on your own life. I would say that you could really get into a new hobby or artistic endevour this year, or maybe you have a really long crush (aspects could lead to a potential situationship though, if there is relation to the 8th/12th house). If there aren't a lot of aspects to pluto though, then it might not be a big deal at all

now for the bigger thing here: 7th house

North node I honestly won't consider too much here. In my experience, the north node is usually more of an emphasis on whats going to be important throughout the year - since it's in the 7th house, that means relationships/contracts/business might be a larger theme

saturn and neptune together are an interesting combination. if you have a marriage partner or anyone else you're involved with contractually (even a boss) then you could get a more clear view of them. Saturn might be clearing up delusions from neptune, making you see these situations clearer.

If you are planning on signing a contract throughout the year, then these planets are telling you to think twice before you jump into anything legally binding.

this could be a lease for an apartment, a car loan, marriage, work or anything else (the rest of the chart is relevant here)

Watch for people with Aquarius, Capricorn and Pisces in their charts. Or even your father/older figures. 7th house is also the house of enemies, so with this energy here, you might learn tough lessons from these people this year.

I'm not the biggest fan of 7th house meaning just relationships. I feel like that's your big fear, since saturn in the 7th house is usually seen as a negative, but i wouldnt worry about it. This wouldnt delay any potential relationship starting this year, only delay any legalities involved like marriage. If you already have a relationship/potential one, then saturn here will honestly be good, since anything thats worth it will last through saturns harsh eye.

If you have any relationships that fail this year, don't think of it as a bad thing.

in love, with your pluto in the 5th its a chance that you will make a large change in this aspect of relationships. given that its likely in aquarius, you could switch to online dating, or developing a crush on someone you met online. These aren't really seen as long lasting relationships or even deep ones.

Only thing I would concern myself with this solar return is not jumping into any quick contracts. Neptune's delusions will be crushed harshly by Saturn; double and triple check what you sign this year. Don't accept a marriage proposal from a guy you met online 2 months ago, and don't sign a new lease on an apartment you haven't even toured.

saturn into aries, february 13. the old taskmaster enters a sign of impulse and hotheadedness. he will quickly meet up with neptune who reached this point not long ago. there are many conflicting attitudes here, and the work is to integrate them all without alienating any.

solar eclipse in aquarius, february 17. just because life is intense doesn't stop the intensity of eclipses from layering on. note the house of your chart occupied by aquarius and prep for volatility accordingly.

saturn-neptune conjunction in aries, february 20. this is a fairly rare conjunction since saturn (and even more so neptune) moves so slowly. the last time it happened was in 1989 in capricorn. i arrived on the scene shortly after that so there's only so much i can say from experience, but this will be different anyway because of the sign changes. saturn was strong in capricorn, and at his least comfortable in aries. boundaries dissolve but it is so that foundations can be built. do this for justice and not for rage.

mercury retrograde in pisces, february 26. mercury rx in pisces is bound to be surreal every time. it is not underworld-journey so much as it is otherworld-journey; not quite alien but like a quick visit to some other astral plane. have your earthly affairs more or less in order before this date because things are going to be weird for a bit and you will want the mundane stuff already squared away.

mars square uranus, february 27. this square looks a little bit concerning but also is not hugely unheard of. this is again one of those times to take extra precautions to avoid accidents or violence around you. bonus points if you can yourself be a good samaritan.

Anyone notice how a lot of posts categorize some placements as male and others as female? For example, sag Mars always talks about men's penis size but never women.....

Hey :)! I have a question if that's okay. I'm a capricorn rising and in placidus my IC is in gemini (4th house), MC sagittarius 10th house. In whole signs, my 4th house is in aries/10th house in libra. However, my IC is still in gemini (6th house!) /DC in sagittarius (12th). How is this possible and what does it mean? I always thought the IC is always in the 4th house. Thank you for the help 💖

So placidus counts those as the beginning of the houses (which is why you can have signs with no houses and other houses with two or more signs) while whole sign will count every house equally

this can lead to big differences, but I wouldn't consider it a big concern. this is one of those weird math things in astrology (same as vertex, fortune and nodes)

for the whole house system, where your IC, DC, MC lay might just show where these energies are going to be more seen (for example, your MC in 12th house sag means that your outer image may be considered mysterious, or is deeper than people can understand. IC in 6th shows that you place your foundation in your daily life - perhaps you are routine driven or have most comfort in your day to day life)

i like to look at multiple systems when doing a reading, so in your case I would say that this exemplifies having a sort of uneven energy - its likely that in placidus you have houses that are large enough to take up the space of 2 signs, which means you have one with no house assigned to it, so the energy may not be felt unless you have planets there

But overall, its not something to be too concerned about. simply shows that you may place more importance on certain subjects than someone with a 'well rounded chart. other energies may simply effect your life a lot less than it would others

I just had to know, I have Uranus in 1st with aqua rising, and I used to have a deathly fear of not fitting in since young, hence joined and blended in w tribes, but I haven't been doing so or following through what the majority would expect of me for a few years now, and it makes me lack awareness id suppose. So, I wanted to know a wrapped up idea with your opinions on that aspect. I have Neptune in 1st house too, with pisces in Uranus, and 10H scorpio allll the whole pluto is transiting my 1st house too conjuncting asc. (kinda excited abt this)

I tend to use whole signs but based on how you're describing your chart I'm assuming you use placidus for this, so my reading may be a bit different

So with aquarius in 1st house you already have that "people don't understand you" vibe. Uranus def amplifies that here as well

Adding in neptune (idk if any conjunct your asc) but it does make you more in tune with this. As in, you can feel how people do not understand you (the honest, REAL you) and it obviously affects you deeply

Uranus is also random and shifting, so adding that to the chameleon like tendencies of Neptune (feeling your way into fitting in, perhaps even rejecting who you really are to live in a fantasy of who you think you want to be, and never going through with it) then it does brew for a bad identity issue

pluto transiting your 1st house however is good. while pluto is a dark energy (its likely very uncomfortable for you right now, as its likely bringing in events that have you come to terms with your identity) it is also a force of change

asc is not just identity (the self) but the viewing of the self - kinda like how the yolk is the chicken and the shell is just there to protect

so i think this time wil give you clarity as to what people really see when they look at you -- that was something that you were struggling to do before, so pluto Is going to show you the truth

its probably gonna be difficult. again, people may view you negatively or positively, but its necessary to know this in order to go further in life

the conjuction is what you make of it, but I say that its going to be a very good change. because instead of finding tribes to blend and disappear into, you will instead find the tribes that truly fit you

with neptune and uranus here, i think this will give you the opportunity to use these to your benefit. if these planets aspect anything else in your chart (perhaps 8th or 10th house) then this will give you the chance to create the image that you will finally feel comfortable in - maybe you will find the job that perceives you how you want to be perceived, or the partner who you feel really understands you

Hi!!! I have a question about my chart. What’s ur opinion on this? I have a grand cross configuration (0-1°) involving the vertex, mc, ic, asc, dsc, eastpoint. My vertex, mc, ic, Chiron and eastpoint are all at 0°. My asc and dsc are at 1°. All placements listed aspect the vertex at a 0° orb. What does it mean for all of my angles to be in this configuration? Asked astrology bots and it called me a portal/ summoning circle 😂😭 My chart’s axis almost looks default (shifted by 1°, Aries rising). I also have 13 zero degree aspects in my chart. Thank you for taking your time on this! 💗

The portal thing sounds....odd. never heard that.

With all of thr degrees being 0-1 im gonna say that its less about a spiritual portal (the hell does that even mean) and more about the youth of your soul. These are all young aspects (as in, you havent worked on these things throughout your past lives) so having them in a grand cross means that this is possibly the beginning of your souls journey (as in, youre a youthful soul. Or perhaps that youre on a journey to learn something entirely new throughout this life)

Unfortunately with chiron in the mix, this may be entering a sort of trauma that you simply have not experienced before. Particularly related to your family/comfort (IC) and your image/career (MC)

Vertex is iffy for me, given that its a mathematical point. If we take the current meaning of vertex (important, karmic events) then id say that youre experiencing very karmic events in this life

All in all, I think your life is going to be a very important one - you arent carrying much karma from the past, so in this life you have the chance to create something new.

Its a good thing. You arent bogged down from past karma so much, so while you may struggle with life lessons more in this life, it means youll get the chance to pursue what you want with little karma bogging you down

Solar Return Observations 1

Every year you get a solar return chart on your birthday - this can be looked at to predict what the year will look like. These are from what I've seen in past solar returns;

Uranus conjunct Jupiter was a large energy. It was in my 8th house, so something large and random happened - the man I was living with at the time lost his house to a hurricane. I had my moon opposing both of them from my second house, and it really changed how I view my possessions (I lost quite a bit of stuff from that event)

My mother had this same conjuction in her 6th house, also conjucting moon. You'd never guess what - a hurricane destroyed her job too.

Covid happened when there was also uranus in my 8th house (it was highschool for me so it affected my parents jobs). my mom also had 6th house uranus this same year lol

Year I had pluto in the 7th house I had a terrible girlfriend and a terrible breakup -- which led to me losing a shit ton of friends because I learned during the breakup how fake they all were.

The years when my mother gave birth, she had Pluto in 4th on her solar returns - a new child is a massive change to the family.

She also had sun in 8th house for these events as well - a change in identity had occurred during these years.

To add on, the year she had her first born she had moon in 2nd opposing an 8th house stellium. She had a complete change in what she valued.

To add onto this, the year I came out as queer I had sun in my 8th house as well. My identity as a straight person essentially died that year lol

For the last 2 consecutive years I've had venus in 5th house in my solar returns, which aligns perfectly as I work through my creative writing degree

Ironically, however, uranus is sitting in my 6th, and this is the year that I decided to switch from pursuing writing to pursuing medical

solar returns are finicky and I'm still trying to see if there is a real 'predictive' nature to them, so do take these with a grain of salt lol

FYI, this will be by Placidus system (unless it's specified it's not). This is really interesting.

The year I realized that I wasn't a girl I had 12° Uranus in 8H exact square Sun in 11H and 10° Pluto in 5H near opposite Sun.

The year that I've suddenly switched to study in Arts instead of Sciences: Uranus in 9H.

The year my father died I had Saturn at 29° along with Pluto and Jupiter in Capricorn 9H. The very same year I've decided to stop studying after not being able to enter one career I've wanted to get into, to start focusing on myself and start making videos while I got pretty much isolated, I had Uranus in 12H at 9° (Sagittarius degree, so careers)

The year I've met my first (ex) bf pretty much suddenly: Uranus exact conj DSC. I also started doing photography as a hobby for the first time when I went abroad: Neptune, Moon and Chiron in 5H.

The year I suddenly wanted to study another career and applied to it: Uranus at 21° (Sagittarius degree).

The year I move out to study: 3H ruler Mercury in 4H by Placidus system, 4H ruler Sun in 3H by Whole signs system.

The year I fell in a worst depression of my life after some realizations and I wasn't in a good state mentally nor psychologically at all, and it went so bad that it manifested physically: Uranus right on my 12H cusp at 24°, Neptune+South Node right on my 11H cusp at 11° and Saturn at 11° conjunct DSC. All of three mutually badly aspected. ASC ruler at 8° (Scorpio degree, Scorpio is usually associated with the card Tower) as a part of a stellium in Cancer 2H while being opposite to Pluto.
