I love that @judynotjulie posted this photo! I took a similar photo on my run, heading to the George Washington Bridge. I imagine that our perspectives may vary, but I think this is a perfect example of making connections through imagery.

Your post overwhelmed me with joy, and a reminder to stay on track. No matter how different we are, there’s always something that reminds us we’re all the same. Regardless of space and time.

I took my photo 5 years ago, and the idea to keep going still resonates! There’s so much meaning in this. Thank you, Judy.

Things that I like

The photo of drawing on napkins was taken in a jazz bar. Because I love jazz bar and with my friends I go there, listen to music and ask them to draw something on napkins about what happened to them today.

Me studying media management with blueberries in my hand looks like I was going to commit a crime but no it was just a blueberry.

Light and wall at my favorite coffee shop that I go almost every week and I like how they remember me always order coldbrew coffee with salted cream

Things that I don’t like

Most of women find doing nails attractive but not me, I play piano since I was 5 and have no chance to do nails until I move here. First time feeling was weird and uncomfortable, felt like want to take it all off. ( 5 hours after, I went to take it off)

Coffee on my lap on the subway sometimes can be a worst case senario like my experience, I split HOT coffee on my lap for the first time doing it and have felt the painful experience. Then become my trauma and no longer use plastic cup with bad cap for the morning coffee.

Corner. I often dream of myself being in an empty room in a corner and fear to move. Sometimes I even scared of the wall getting closer and closer to me. I don’t like being in a corner of anywhere.

3 pictures of things I like. I find that his 3 images match very well together whereas it was not at all the idea sought at the beginning.

- Photo of bird tracks in the sand: This photo is very simple but I find it very delicate to have the seagull's footprints so clean in the sand. We can almost imagine it.

- Photo of the jewels in the shell: I find that this image perfectly links the two other ones: the shell that recalls the beach on the one hand, and the jewels on the other. I find the play of light on the ring that shows the pattern very interesting and surprising.

- Photo of the ring: I think this image is sensitive. I find the soft colours and the mixture of textures and materials interesting ( the fur blanket, nail polish, skin, ring, cashmere sweater)
