Shomei Tomatsu R.I.P. (1930-2012)

Today we received the very sad news that Shomei Tomatsu died on December 14. He died on pneumonia in a hospital in Naha, Okinawa. He was 82.

The trees have long since been Exhausted by our need to breathe Hardened into lumps of coal Sticking to our boots Sweet and gummy.

And we circle around Along the tracks of silt and mud Never realizing our world was round Circling madly around the machinery of Fabricated hopes and dreams.
