Petition for Smosh to adopt Seán
From Hamlet by William Shakespeare
From Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte
And both scenes are possibly about a desire for abortion.
Hamlet: “Rue”, the only one Ophelia has some for herself, was a famous abortifacient in that period. There is a theory that Ophelia is pregnant throughout the play, I don’t think this is impossible.
Wuthering Heights: Catherine is five months pregnant, has been starving herself, and is emptying her pillow of its feathers while reminiscing about dead baby birds. And the scene is clearly a reference to the Ophelia scene.
"You said I killed you – haunt me then! Be with me always – take any form – drive me mad! only do not leave me in this abyss, where I cannot find you!"
