Chapter 2
"Excuse me. Good afternoon, here's your coffee."
A woman with a brown apron interrupts their conversation.
They all look at her. They remove their arms from the table to give space for the coffee.
She slowly laid down the hot drinks for each of them.
"Thank you, Sana-ssi." Jimin smiled after she placed the coffee in front of him.
"Thanks, Sana." Taehyung thanked her as well.
She gave them a polite smile.
Jungkook smirked while looking at Taehyung and Jimin thinking that the two are flirting with the girl who serves coffee to them. He shook his head a little. They never changed, he thought.
Sana suddenly stops moving when she looked at the third person she will be serving the coffee with.
It's the man who helped her with the garbage earlier.
The kind but snobbish man as what she thinks.
"Sana-ssi? Aren't you going to give that coffee to our friend?" Jimin interrupts her thoughts while smirking.
Jungkook's gaze turns to Sana with a serious cold look.
Sana broke the eye contact quickly.
"Uhmm yeah. I'm sorry." she puts down the hot drink in front of him who's now following her movements.
"Enjoy your coffee." She bowed down and quickly walks fast back to the main counter.
"What happened to her?" Taehyung chuckled and asked Jimin while pointing at her.
"Man, she literally froze when she saw Jungkook." Jimin is trying to hold his smile.
Taehyung chuckled, covering his mouth with his fist.
"Kook, you haven't changed. You're still the babe magnet Kookie that we knew." Taehyung teased him.
"Yah! Shut up!" he threw him a crumpled tissue and gave him a death glare. Jimin and Taehyung laugh out loud, but Jungkook remains a poker face.
"If Junhoe was here, he would be so jealous," Jimin said while laughing which makes his eyes look smaller.
"What?!" Jungkook's eyebrows crossed after hearing what Jimin said.
"Junhoe has a huge crush on Sana. He's courting her for months now." Jimin answered while smiling widely.
"Ahh." He nodded his head.
"But she always keeps on rejecting him," Taehyung added, laughing at their best friend's misfortune in love.
"What the!" Jungkook reacted, smirking, and shakes his head.
"Minhyun-ssi, who's that guy with Jimin and Taehyung?" Sana asked her best friend as soon as she was back from serving the coffee.
"I heard from manager Lee it's their childhood friend," Minhyun replied while writing something on the paper.
"Their best friend? Then why did I just see him now?" she asked with curiosity drawn oh her face.
"Manager Lee said he just got back from... I forgot which country it is," he responded and look at her.
Sana nodded her head, looking in the boy's direction who is laughing now.
'That guy. He didn't seem to remember me.'
"Why?" he asked, tilting his head to cover where Sana was staring at.
Sana flinched and went back to her senses.
"Uhmm. Nothing." She simply replied and proceed to continue her work.
"So, you just got a new job?" Minhyun suddenly asked Sana while they are walking on the street on their way to her apartment.
"Yes, since school hasn't started yet and I didn't get any bookings for a tutorial, I thought of working on a part-time job." She replied.
Minhyun nods his head a little.
"Glad that Mina helped me get the job at the flower shop." Sana beamed at him while holding the strap of her backpack.
"Do you even know now how to arrange a flower?" He gave her a teasing look.
"Of course, you know that I'm a fast learner." She said proudly and that made his best friend chuckle.
"Yeah right. The mighty Sana...
but a clumsy one." He chortled again.
"Yaaah!" Sana whines and faked a frowning face.
He pinches her nose which made her smile again.
"Seriously Sana, you shouldn't overwork yourself, most especially your body." He said in a serious tone.
"I know that. That's why I chose less tiring jobs, like in the coffee shop, tutorials, and this in the flower shop. So don't worry too much about me, okay? I'll be fine." She said by giving him an assurance smile.
He's staring at her, not blinking for a few minutes.
"Okay, fine." He simply replied.
"We're here. Thank you for dropping me." Sana exclaimed stopping in front of the entrance of the building of her apartment.
"Okay. No problem. Rest well and good night." They waved goodbye to each other.
Minhyun turned his back and walk away.
"Minhyun-ssi!" Sana called him.
Minhyun stops walking and looks at her. He gave her a confused look.
She walks towards him and stops before him.
"I want to say thank you. Thank you for always looking after me. I know I am hard-headed sometimes and I even get mad at you for some reason, but you never gave up on me. Thank you for being there for me." Sana said sincerely, looking straight into his eyes.
He smiled and raise his hand to ruffle the top of her head.
"You're welcome, Sana. I'm just keeping my promise, a promise to always look after you and take care of you." Minhyun said and smile at her.
Sana nodded her head while smiling and she bid goodbye to him again.
After preparing her food, Sana decided to eat her dinner on the rooftop of the building of her apartment.
She gently laid down the tray and place the cup noodles and kimchi on the wooden table and sits down to munch her food.
After done eating, Sana was staring at the air for a few minutes. She suddenly stood up. She places her hands on the front pockets of the
hoodie she's wearing now.
She walked towards the edge part of the rooftop, looking at the panoramic view of the village with roofs and lights from the streetlights.
The cold airbrushes to Sana's pale face. It was a cold night. The cup noodles are not helping her keep her body warm.
She looks up and removed her hands from the pockets and holds the cold railings while staring at the clear starry night sky.
She slowly raised her right hand while tracing the constellations using her index finger.
She connected the stars and soon form an upside-down letter "Y".
Her lips slowly curved forming a smile.
"You're here," she whispered.
"Are you watching over me now?" She mumbled.
Her tears fall all of a sudden. Sadness took over her emotion again.
Although Sana is a bubbly and happy person, whenever she's alone, she cried because of loneliness. Hiding all the loneliness behind the mask.
She lowered her head and wipe off the tears that keep on falling.
"I miss you..." she muttered.
"I miss you.." she cried out silently while holding her chest.
Sana has been alone for so long. She's living on her own. She's working different jobs to support herself, and it's also her way of forgetting her loneliness even for a short time.
But every time she went home, it keeps on haunting her.
Every night, she cried herself to sleep and woke up the next day trying to live the life that she has now.
Good thing she has friends like Minhyun and Dahyun who knew her struggles in life. They are the reason why she keeps on living her life. They are the ones who helped her during the time she needed someone to look for her. Without them, she wouldn't know if she's still alive now or not.
Sana finally has done crying and wipes off the tears that are left on her face. She turns her back and walks back to the table and cleans up her mess. She went down to her unit.
It's another lonely night again for her.

A/N:
I think this story will have loads of sad chapters/moments.
This is not just a typical story. It's more of a "melodrama" kind of story.
I'm sorry guys. If this is not your kind of story, then it's okay with me if you will not continue reading the story.😊
JK and SN's characters are both facing their own struggles in life. And who knows they will find happiness through each other along the way. 😜
Ps. This story has a lot of hidden messages/hints. It requires observation.
Ex. The upside-down "Y" constellation.
It has meaning. Like how is it related to Sana or is it related to someone?
And on the latter part of the story, you will know why.
And I have written three hidden messages/hints already😁😁😁😁
Don't be shy to comment on your ideas of how do you think the story will go. 😆
