Actually I’m too impatient to wait until art fight ends
In a world not-so-similar to our own, where the planet is the heart that was ripped out of a god, is where Aeon Vita takes place.
On a large planet called Cardia, there lies 12 dynasties, each with their own role and beast created from their flaws.
These kingdoms are named Aorta, Aortic, Atrium, Cor, Inferior, Mitral, Pulmonary, Sanguis, Superior, Tricuspid, Vena Cava, and Ventricle…yes they’re all cheekily named after parts of the heart and or the name of heart in other languages…..and they’re also inspired off of dynasties, cor being rooted in spanish dynasties (lucia’s last name is quite literally Freitas)
In the Kingdom Cor is where this story takes root. A lovely kingdom that worships the god that birthed their home, with dragons roaming their lands.
Now for the age old question:
WHAT THE HECK IS AN AEON VITA??
Okay, hold your horses, it’s not just a silly name.
Striving from the words Aeon- “Eternal”, and Vita- “Life”, it is the blessing given to knights once they’ve achieved divinity, whether that means they have done a great deed, or died in honor. The blessing is merely a rumor, however, to what it provides. People say it gives the highest reward, riches, fertility, everlasting life. Others say that it’s a way to keep the heart beating, sacrificing their holiest to keep the golden blood flowing for centuries.
Lucia, a clumsy and paranoid knight finds her way to being the princess’s royal guard. She trained her whole life for this role, hope to finally receive that blessing, and become like the heroes she adored. Unfortunately, the princess is..not who she expected. A dragon in thinly veiled skin, pretending to be their kind to achieve power. And unfortunately, it’s the same dragon who ruled this land centuries ago. A dragon so mighty, that the golden ichor that coats this land was stained pitch black of its sin, only defeated by the bravest, holiest warrior, had their land finally been freed. But now, it has returned. And how in the world is Lucia supposed to fight it when no one believes her?
