ok ive been seeing a lot of bad takes lately bc i guess no one has anything better to do so im gonna try to outline some stuff abt anticiv anarchism here.
obviously this wont 100% reflect the views of everyone who calls themself anticiv but it does reflect mine
-our society as it is today is not sustainable because of carbon emissions and limited natural resources which we are consuming much faster than we are able to renew them
-switching to solely “renewable” energy isn’t environmentally or economically feasible under our current political and economic structures
-at some point in the future we will face some degree of societal collapse due to these factors
-it behooves us, both human beings in general and as individuals who align ourselves with principles of mutual aid, regardless of whether you call yourself a leftist, post-leftist, anarchist, or communist, to think about what forms of organization could support us and let us thrive outside of industrial society and after its collapse
-collapse isn’t a goal. collapse is an eventuality. the goal is to not let ourselves be recaptured by the state apparatus; to develop new, anti-hierarchical, decentralized modes of being; and to prevent the reestablishment of authority and idols
-millions of people currently die each year because of the failures of capitalism to allocate medical resources to people who desperately need them, in both first and third world countries
-it’s naive to think some glorious revolution masquerading as “communism” that changes nothing about the technologies and machines we use to manufacture goods will somehow change our failure to distribute those goods
-even if it could, the organs of capital have shown time and time again the capability of subverting revolutions and revolutionaries and using them for their own ends. no proletarian revolution has ever been successful for long, and every bourgeois revolution has
-it follows that any attempts to change our modes of organization are most likely to succeed outside and against our industrial society, and outside and against the modes of thinking and being which define it
-will people be harmed by the collapse of industrial society? yes. but they would be hurt by your revolution too, and by attempts at “reform”. people will hurt by what remains of industrial society as well, as seen in the recent global rise of fascism which will only intensify as we draw closer to collapse
-being outside of industrial society isnt going to magically cure people of their disabilities, but not having to sell their labor for scraps nor constantly worrying about not being able to afford food and shelter isnt going to hurt anyone
-calling people who are anticiv ableist or TERFs isn’t a legitimate rebuttal. im autistic and so are a lot of other anticiv bloggers on here, and a lot of us are trans too. neither is posting shitty memes that make you look like an asshole
-we care about a lot of the same things “regular” lefties do but critique methods and ideologies based on historical trends and failures (i still think leninists are trash though)
