this is just to help me develop random scenes and ideas so i can write actual narratives with real dialogue l8er
-iâm the worst at names so dudeâs still Nameless as of rn, and in this post iâll refer to gregâs bf as BF (for faster editing later)
-maybe BF was a beach city resident when Greg toured. (but maybe he just got to see greg on tour, somewhere) if he was, heâd just be a bg character at first, maybe you see him in the far corner during gregâs show, standing even tho there are plenty of seats. and mayhaps before RD goes to the merch table, you see BF leaving with his new Mr. Universe shirt all happy and excited.
-when Greg decided to hang in Beach City for RD, among his friend group was BF. vidalia is/was BFâs best friend and thru V is how the bois met.Â
- like imagine how many times Greg sought comfort through BF bc RD is legit a shitty ass manipulative asf lying ass donât deserve shit partner and greg is so non-confrontational.Â
-but letâs say BF moved away some years after, and heâs that friend tht u fall out of touch with, but always wanted to reconnect w/ or just know whatâs up with them in life now.
-when BF is reintroduced it is decades later, theyâre âOldâ now, itâs present time in the show, and it starts off as BF returning to beach city. i daresay they reunite when he goes to get his vehicle/bike cleaned, and is hella surprised but happy to see greg is the only one working
-the next few âepsâ revolving arnd them or w/e are about them catching up and reflecting, but also rebuilding their strong asf friendship. and itâs like undeniable to anyone whoâs ever seen them interact growing up. they fall back into their old ways of having deep ass talks on the shore and playing tunes and laughing so hard it booms across the beach
-point where BF and greg are by the sea, BF is just playing smthn random with his eyes shut all very into it, and Greg is like âwow thatâs rly beautifulâ basically, and BF is like itâs what iâm feeling. then he encourages greg to just play a little something about what he feels in tht moment and so he does. BUt... he gets so into what heâs playing, itâs clearly smthn v emotional, and half way thru it his face drops and he just stops. and us as the audience/readers knows thts him having a Sad abt rose... but then he starts up again and itâs like heâs tearing it tf UP and it goes aggressive and HARD just shredding it, and then slow and dragged out and open ended. greg opens his eyes after that and BF is just there beside him, like always, but with super sad eyes bc heâs never seen greg actually be open abt negative feelings abt his ex
-after tht bit, if it even happens 100%, greg finally, yet almost reluctantly, talks about feeling betrayed and lied to, and maybe even violated on various levels by rose. (but he emphasizes, despite that, he still loves his son, regardless of his mom being Shitty Queen Supreme.) BF consoles Greg and agrees what Rose did to him was beyond wrong, and that he canât imagine how greg must feel havin built a life with someone who you donât even know. greg looks off into the sea, itâs a pinkish sunset, fading, and he just sighs and expresses He himself doesnât even know how to feel. BF assures greg itâs ok not to know, and regardless heâs glad greg finally started to share his feelings, bc you have to start somewhere (on the road to recovery)
-the pink sunset quickly fades and itâs a dark blue sky with stars lighting up everywhere, in that awesome su bg way we never fccn see anymore. greg leans on BF. the stars reflect off the waves and itâs like a universe theyâre sitting across. the star outro thing focuses on the two of them sitting beside each other, and this scene could be a parallel w/a flashback of them in their younger years
-BF calls Uncle Andy tf out and runs him tf off after Andy makes a racist remark abt âinterracial couplesâ (BF is a poc) and ppl âstealing our jobsâ and we absolutely never see his ugly ass ever again in the show. and it brings more light as to why Gregâs songs idealized him wanting to get away from home. demayos r racist and homophobic and overall fucking shitty. BF takes uncle andyâs spot during the Thanksgiving episode and absolutely no one has to cater to a racist white manâs fweelings. BF already loves steven so thereâs no need to endanger the kidâs life to show us he Cares, bc he lets him know as is.
-V, greg, BF, and amethyst have a reunion and absolutely take over the town for the night. they canât do much of what they did when they were young, but they all still have a blast. V and amethyst tease Greg for getting starry eyes seeing BF play music, and reference to how he used to get the same sort of look when they were young as well. scene where after this BF shoots Greg a smile and gregâs face turns v v red
-itâs been Decades but BF still has his Mr. Universe shirt, itâs more worn than Roseâs, more stained, a little torn even, bc it was his fav after all. BF sleeps w/tht shirt. classic gay
-BF and Greg listening to their old records, BF bringing over his own vinyls, and them just kicking back listening to old stuff they used to love. they eventually decide to remaster their favs from Gregâs music Together
-when BF finds out Greg doesnât actually live in the house heâs so proud he built himself, he encourages Greg to Stop living in his van, assuming he knows how much $$ greg got. greg mentions smthn about he wouldnât want to live in a big house alone anyway, which brings BF to suggesting they be âroommates.â
-so they do. they build their house Together, it takes them time (months to a couple years) bc theyâre aged, but itâs a v bonding experience for them. the house isnât very flashy, itâs rather modest, and perfect for the two of them. theyâre a lOOOT more âââfriendlyââââ *cough*gay at this point, no one has acknowledged their feelings or made any moves, bc theyâre quite content going at their own pace
