Lady Gaga with blue armpit hair at the Much Music Awards 2011

I understand the idea of "Born this way" and I think we have all considered Lady Gaga as a daring individual when it comes to fashion but I just cannot understand the armpit and the crotch hair at her latest performance at the Much Music Awards. Besides it being the same color as her wig, I did not get much more out of it but was rather left questioning the purpose of her so-called outfit. Let us know what you think.

Steven Tyler - Inspiration for a fashion line?

                   I haven's been able to get the full story yet but the idea is that Steven Tyler is the new face and inspiration for a collection by Andrew Charles who will be designing a line for Fall 2011 in collaboration with MESH. Andrew Charles is a NYC born fashion line inspired and devoted to rock 'n' roll drawing inspiration from various rock stars throughout the years. Andrew recently partnered with MESH (Music, Entertainment, and Sports Holdings) a company that is focused on entertainment brands, to develop the fall 2011 collection with Steven Tyler as the main source of inspiration. I like the idea of drawing inspiration from music, in particular rock 'n' roll and am definitely looking forward to what comes out of this.

Kanye West - Fashion Designer?

So the most recent news is of course about Kanye West. Word is that he is currently residing in Paris developing his new fashion line for presentation release in September. It is only expected for this to happen considering his role as a trend setter for fashion everywhere and anywhere for females and males, both. But what to expect from this release? Although at this point there hasn't been any hint on what the collection will feature but we can only expect the best.

Dutch product designer Ilvy Jacobs who specializes in designing bags, specifically paper bags released this collection which took on inspiration from packaging. Determined to create longer duration through form and material, Jacobs created a line of paper bags which are not only unique but also take on a sophisticated and clever use of the traditional bag.

The Korean brand Time  launched their S/S 2011 collection featuring the work of Mariacarla Boscono showing the clean sophisticated cut of Asian inspiration in combination with the modernized drape. The combination of the two creates a new and unique balance between the two worlds and thus, we have this amazing and inspirational collection full of classic strong cuts with soft elegant drape.

Work of Italian art director Giuseppe Mastromatteo

The latest work of Italian art director Giuseppe Mastromatteo titled "Indepensense" takes advantage of digital technology to reproduce humanity in impossible ways. He transforms the body into the impossible with ripped faces, eyes and ears which run through hands and arms proposing the illusion of the body. These models pose without expression and yet, the transformation of their bodies invokes a sense of discomfort within us bringing forth the internal essence of beauty.

Naughty Fashion

For the most part, we think of fashion as elegant and daring, but I have never seen fashion as daring as this. Some call it naughty fashion... some call it S&M fashion.... you decide!
