As I watch you lie here taking your last breaths, I often wonder what my life will be like without you. I want you here with me, with us, but I don't want you in pain too.. but what are you holding on to..? It's been days and they keep telling us it's the end, You've said goodbye to your children, your family, your friends.. It's okay, it's your time, and if you're ready you can go. It's okay Mom, this is no longer your burden, It's my sorrow to tow. Concern in their eyes, they say 'it could be anytime now..' It's okay, it is your time... And we will make it through somehow.. 'DRUMLINE ROCKS' will always ring in my ears, And to perform anything in life without you by my side is one of my worst fears. .. A grandson just born.. a baby you'll never know.. And Mom I wanted you at my wedding in the front row.. I want you in my memories, I want you alive, And in 2017 alone... you'll make number five. But there's nothing to forgive, you've done nothing wrong; Because this sickness and this sadness is nothing to prolong.. But as I watch you lie here, taking your last breaths, I can never predict what life would be like without you. I know you want to be here with me, with us, but you're tired of being in pain too.. Just holding on to.. 'Mama, I love yous'..
