Marina will leave tomorrow. I regret saying yes and will miss her a lot. But maybe someone is interested in trading? I would trade for Pekan, Ankha, Diana, Marshal, Olaf, Raymond (I’m willing to wait a while) or 10 Nook Miles Tickets. Shoot me a message. :3

For reference, this is what she’s talking about :
In conclusion: Fanfic is important, there’s nothing wrong with writing or enjoying it and the cast and crew of Good Omens are a gift.
fanfic culture has done so many good, amazing things for young writers BUT
it’s gotten to the point people don’t even know they’re writing an original story anymore and thats kind of sad?? like, i see it a lot with roleplayers especially.
“i wrote a fic based on my dnd/pathfinders/whatever campaign and added some og characters and a friend’s character cameos too!”
“so i have this character from pathfinders that i tweaked a little and then added another character from world of darkness with some different traits and THEN i thought it would be cool to throw in a star trek inspired character and make a fic out of it!”
honey that is not a fic. that is an original story. own it. be proud of it. you just created something brand new from your noggin!!! sure it might be based on something, but most fiction is. stories spring forth out of inspiration from other stories, or from liking how a certain world was set up in general so you use that as a base and then craft it into your own.
yall are out here making amazing original stories and building worlds and acting like it’s just silly fanfiction when it’s super awesome original fiction!!!!!
anyway i don’t really know what the point is but these writers are wonderful and i hope they realize that!!
This is complete and utter truth.
If I was an agent for a romance readership, I’d be hitting up every coffee shop/ bakery/ other way-out-of original setting love story to find the ones that just work as… love stories!
And I’d get them published too.
Hm.
*thinks about another thing to ask my agent about*

I might have a problem y'all
the most important piece of writing advice I can give is to write whatever the fuck you want. If you like sparkle???? Write sparkle. Half of my planned future projects are about badass princesses because I like badass princesses. Guess who can stop me? Not you, not God, not that guy on the internet who said my writing sucks. If a project seems overly indulgent? Write it. Your passion will come through and unless it’s like a really niche genre of demonic dinosaur erotica there’s a high chance others will want to read it too. And even then.
Dude just write what makes you happy.
