Kirby is a fellow street mutt from Taiwan, too! He was adopted by our friends about 4 years ago from @hara.sf. A wonderful volunteer that helped me with the adoption process Holly started Hara SF right around that time and we love this rescue so much. Both Holly and Sammy were a little out of sorts when Kirby showed up but Sammy quickly warmed up to him. And Holly, well, we need to do very slow intros with Holly and other dogs so we started out by giving her a timeout in the bedroom. About an hour later Holly met Kirby and things were a little rocky at first (there were barking and lunging at first) but once the good treats came out even Holly paid attention. Sammy and Kirby are very treat-motivated and they were both on the hunt for treats. Once everyone was settled, we let them explore out in the yard. We are so lucky Holly and Sammy are really good about staying near us. Holly also has a 50' leash that she drags around the property, as you can imagine all the critters, squirrels, and deer that tempt Holly to chase! Soon, the three pal'd around, Holly and Kirby both trying to show who's the boss, Holly eventually warming up to "play". Poor thing doesn't really know how. Sammy giving them plenty of space to play. What a bunch of good doggos. :) It's been a while since Holly and Sammy got interactions with other dogs and they sorely miss their pack in Oakland!
