Over the past two weeks I’ve realized I cannot keep continuing down the path I’ve been following for the past year. Lots of lows, tears, moments of panic, feeling helpless and useless, stress and sickness led to a tough realization. I hit my rock bottom of burnout and was swallowed up by feeling overwhelmed; my personal and professional lives became a mess and I was shutting down. Starting over and making changes is scary and daunting, but, as a wise woman recently told me, I’ve got to take better care of myself. There’s something about being in the water, be it a pool or ocean, that instantly relaxes me. The past few months, and the next few, have been and will be stressful and I needed this relaxation.
