A few days ago I got the opportunity to see As Tall As Lions' last night of their reunion shows in NYC. They were the most important band to my dude growing up. Although I hadn't listened to them much, it was one of the best shows I've ever seen, and as a music photographer in a prior life I've seen a lot of shows. I felt all the feels. The energy was pulsating throughout the room. Grown men were silently wiping small bittersweet tears from the corners of their eyes. I haven't see a smile on my bf's face like that in a long time. Although it didn't mean as much to me as many, I'm so happy I got to experience that night and was so pleasantly surprised about how great these guys still were after all the years.
