from the outside, juliana morelli’s childhood kind of looked like a dream. her dad was the lead singer of a well-known alternative rock band, and her mother was a groupie that wanted absolutely nothing to do with her. and so for most of her childhood, juliana grew up on the road. her father hired a tutor so that she could keep up with her education while travelling the world with him.
the tutoring never really interested juliana - she was more taken with exploring the world and having experiences first hand. still, she was intelligent and absorbed information quickly - she just did better on her on.
her father tried to keep her sheltered, but it was inevitable, really. she was exposed to the realities of being on tour early on. sex, drugs, and rock & roll was the lifestyle they were living, and there was no keeping that from his young and impressionable daughter. realizing this, he sent juliana to live with his parents in a midwestern small town when she was fifteen, hoping that a more stable environment would be better for her. juliana didn't see this as an act of love, however, she saw it as abandonment.
she started acting out, and her grandparents weren't really sure how to deal with it. juliana went out some nights and didn't come back, sleeping on friend's couches and doing unspeakable things. it was during this time that her criminal record started building. shoplifting, noise complaints, disturbing the peace. it was all "harmless teenager stuff" according to the cops, and most of the time, they just gave her a slap on the wrist for it. however, when she was caught smoking pot in her car, she was charged with posession, and spent the night in jail. because of her father's fame, the situation was quickly resolved and the bail was paid in full as soon as was allowed. this experience should've scared juliana, but she just carried on with her ways. after she was caught again for underage drinking, her dad cut her off, once again paying the bail, but warning her that it wouldn't happen again.
as soon as she was eighteen, juliana packed up all of her things, and headed out in her car. she had no plans, no job, and very little money, but she couldn't stand to be in that small town anymore. she was a bit of a drifter for awhile - because of her criminal record, she had a hard time finding a decent-paying job.
she ended up in montclair on accident, but has been here for the last few years, and hasn’t found a reason to leave. she likes her job at the radio station, and overall enjoys life in fayette.
music, unsurprisingly is juliana's passion. she plays the guitar - her father taught her while she was on the road. she's auditioned for bands and gigs, but she's had a hard time with anything sticking. she misses being able to travel and tour and do what she loves, and wants to be able to do that again. for now, she plays acoustic covers a few times a week at a bar, adn though it’s not ideal, it’s something.
juliana is fiery, snappy, and passionate. she’s guarded around almost everyone, but loves fiercely. she’s just a little chihuahua snappin at ur heels though she means no harm lol
