Peter didn’t have to think twice about which party he was spending his V-Day at, and the coupley lovey dovey junk sounded so boring that he was pretty sure even if he was seeing somebody he wouldn’t have bothered going to that crappy excuse for a party. No, he was going to check out The Lady and the Tramp for a few minutes, and if it was trash boring like the rest of the sanctioned Valentine’s events he was gonna have to make his own thing happen. Walking inside, he wasn’t immediately disappointed - the decor was inevitable. He found the champagne and tipped back a flute or two, eyes scanning the crowd before settling on someone who might be worth the time. “Alright,” he opened, a little too fast and a tad too loud. “Let’s do this speed dating style, what’s the rundown?”
Tink had probably had more than her fair share of drinks by the time that her best friend appeared at her side. She shifted her body toward him, laughing at a volume to match his. “The rundown, Peter? You’re lame.” She sighed, throwing her head back for a moment before straightening up and looking back at him. “Alright, I’ll play along.” She leaned on the table in front of her, chin resting on her hand, looking up at him. “I’m a twenty three year old engineer and I’m here, on Valentine’s Day, looking for, I don’t know, a rebound, or maybe the love of my life, who knows. And who are you, tonight, Peter Pan?”
