“i get that. maybe you can move out soon?” juliet suggested. she nodded, then placed the spliff back towards her own lips and inhaling. “both of those things sound perfect,” she answered through an exhalation of smoke a moment later. “i always say that they have bigger problems- cops - then people smoking in a park. it’s legal anyways,” she noted. “what’ve you been up to?”
hit me up for plots, esp for juliet and beck?? but also liz, ofc. i’d love more stuff for all my kids??

max let out a sigh before carefully climbing up next to juliet. she kicked off her shoes and let them lay in the grass. “are you sure it’s alright?” she asked softly. “me? i’ve been alright i suppose. dating someone? that’s an absolutely false rumor.” she shook her head and shifted how she was sitting. was she dating anyone? that definitely wasn’t a question to ask juliet. “the company’s still standing. more importantly, how are you?”Â
juliet smiled at the sight of max letting up, knowing how it sometimes took a bit of effort on her behalf to do so. “yeah, of course. you know, life,” juliet shrugged. it had been too much effort to remain saddened by the absence of others in her life, as it was a regular happening now. and she knew it did not come from malice, at least from max. “really?” juliet’s voice lilted. “i heard it was this BRITISH guy. but, okayy...” she hummed. “does that mean it almost wasn’t?” juliet bit her lip. “i’m good, now.”

“yeah, it seems to be nicer out than it has been..though, i’ve mostly been inside for the past few weeks.” kinley could only shrug, moving to sit near juliet. she hadn’t realized just how much walking she’d been in the past few hours. “you’re welcome.” a small smile accompanies her words before pushing strands of hair from her face. “just want to be out of the face, you know?”
“oh? how come?” juliet wondered, hoping that she wasn’t coming across too nosy or curious or anything of the sort. she smiled as she realized the other girl was joining her. “you’re welcome to have some if you’d like,” she offered out of habit and politeness. “it’s definitely nice out here, especially at this hour.”

finally taking his eyes from the computer screen, angelo lets out a small, exaggerated groan, “jesus, why did i even take summer classes,” he says to no one in particular, “i could’ve just enjoyed my summer, but no, i had to take boring, time consuming classes.”
juliet looks up from her own laptop, lips similarly scrunched and the faintest of dark under eye circles managing to be visible through her concealer. “i took em too. so i could graduate early... it’s not exactly the best way to spend summer. what’re you taking?” she asked curiously, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear. she smiled as she added: “’m sure you can do it.”

there was a specific spot that casey liked to go during his breaks from work, and it was one that his sister had shown him a long time ago… a hidden place in the park. so, he had an hour to take his dinner break and his partner had run to his house to get dinner with his family, but he brought his salad to the park. he was surprised to see his sister, so he just smiled, “nah, it’s cool.” he sat down next to her, shrugging, “as long as i don’t leave here smelling like it, i don’t care. you know that.” he began eating his salad, smiling slightly, “what brings you here?”
“you’re using my spot,” juliet teased gently, partially sticking her tongue out at her elder brother. she raised the joint back to her lip to take a hit from the carefully rolled spliff. “you going back to work or something?” his sister asked, wondering why he was concerned about the scent, although understanding and respecting the wish completely. “just wanted to watch the sunset, honestly, and it’s always better a little high.”

after he got done at the shop, ben decided to take a walk. it had been a long few days, so he really needed to clear his head. noticing juliet sitting down on the grass and smiled slightly, “hey stranger…” he bit down on his lip, swallowing slightly, “i.. uh…” he didn’t want to say he minded, but he also… did mind.
realizing her company did mind, she waved her hand and shook her head. “it’s fine. it’s not for everyone.” she put the joint out on the rock, then put the unfinished spliff back into a case in her bag. juliet looked up with a half-smile. “out for a breather from work, or getting out of it for the night?”

Reece had ventured out to the park, since she hadn’t been in so long. It was probably too late to be going out for a walk, but what else was there to do? She found herself near a bunch of rocks, and she hadn’t noticed anybody near her until the smell of weed had hit her nose and someone spoke. “Oh no. Don’t worry.” She said, waving a hand. “Its not like I haven’t smelled it before. Continue on.”
“that’s true. we live in california, so... a natural smell, really. i don’t know how people who don’t like it handle, considering.” she commented. “what brings you out to the park tonight? sunset watching, like me?”Â

sam’s favorite place to study was in the park: it was quiet… peaceful, in a way. so, he found himself laying on his stomach in the grass, reading over notes. over about an hour, he gathered his things and decided to cut through the park to go back to his house when he spotted a friendly face. “oh, hi! i didn’t mean to bother you…” he shook his head, “no, it’s cool.”
juliet shook her head, dismissing the male’s concern. “you’re not, don’t worry. i like company,” she smiled lightly. “studying in the park?” she asked, using the hand that was holding her joint to motion towards his things. “you know, it is summer, and the weekend.”

max needed just a little bit of air to clear her head. after the scare with ace over the weekend she had spent several hours a day fussing over her sister. whatever hours she hadn’t spent with her sister or sleeping she had been at the office. max just needed some time by herself, she needed some time to be herself. as she walked through the halston city park she saw a familiar figure nearby. her smile grew as she approached juliet. “it’s alright jules.” she took a few steps closer to where her friend was sitting. “it’s definitely been too long, sorry about that. i think that’s definitely my bad.” she felt guilty about not reaching out to juliet recently, but max had, had so much going on. “no, no you’re fine.”Â
juliet shrugged. “it’s okay.” just as she knew max had many things going on, she had as well. it had felt like it had been weeks since they had spent solid time together, and in that time, juliet had been through a number of highs and lows. “how’ve you been? you know, i heard, actually-- you’re dating someone? true or false?” she raised an eyebrow teasingly, easily falling back into their groove. “how’s the company?”

“ You’re a much nicer person than I am, ” Kieran laughed. He took the flask from Juliet and ran his eyes over its surface, not knowing exactly what he was searching for. “ What’s in it? ” He asked, but didn’t wait for a reply before he took a sip from the top. “Can’t complain, I guess. I’ve been working a lot, which is nice. I like to stay busy, you know? ” He asked, mostly rhetorically, before he passed the flask back to Juliet.
“yes, i just might be, but doesn’t that come to your advantage? like now?” juliet grinned. she raised her eyebrows. “vodka. what else would you expect?” she tilted her head with her question, although she was half-joking, but it certainly was something many might come to expect considering her socializing reputation. “yeah, you liking work lately? busy’s good. busy... busy keeps you from thinking too hard,” she commented, taking the flask and taking a swig herself. “but work hard, play hard, you know.”

juliet let out a small laugh. “have you now? i’ll have to call you officer samuels one day, huh?” she raised an eyebrow. putting on a fake voice, she imitated the movie’s actresses saying the line. “your hair looks sexy pushed back. what’re you up to?” she asked, moving back and forth on the balls of her feet. “other than being a teenage 2000s movie heartthrob.”

her house was crowded with something that felt akin to tension. mckinley didn’t know what it was or where it came from, but it felt almost like suffocation every time she’d breathe. after leaving noah with one of her siblings, she took it upon herself to take a breather and actually..do something for once that didn’t involve sleeping til noon and checking her email for yet another no response to her various emails about new jobs. a voice brings her out of her own thoughts, looking around for a moment before eyes landing on juliet, “yeah,” there was small laugh after it. she truly hadn’t noticed the other was there but didn’t mind any company. “no. no, you’re totally fine.” her hands in her pockets as she stood, eyes watching the sunset. “what’cha doing out here?”
juliet nodded her head in the direction of the setting sun. “just enjoying the view. it’s nice out so i thought...” she shrugged, as if knowing that it adequately completed her thoughts. “plus, it’s always a little better high, you know. thanks,” she smiled gratefully. “what about you?”Â

“it’s not just that. i told you, she’s naming my factual strengths,” he told her with facetiously stuffy seriousness. “my apartment’s a democracy because… of liberty,” he replied with an imitation of confidence. “oh, alright, you know i can’t explain.” he motioned to give her a kiss on the cheek to distract her from ribbing him further about his lack of academic inclination (in diplomatic terms). “go ahead, quote me. i’ll take all the free publicity that i can get.” he laughed lightly. “exactly what a super rich person would say, babe. and, no, you’re not half-bad. in fact, you’re my favourite.”
morris was clearly incorrect, but he said it with such confidence and sweetness towards the girl ( and that accent certainly helped ) that she allowed it to go by without any correcting comments from her, the brunette shaking her head. she smiled into the kiss on the cheek and rolled her eyes. “alright, i’ll make an article about you. circulate a rumor that you’re trying to steal the prince fortune, or something,” she joked lightly. she sighed, conceding that his point was erhaps right. “your favorite, hm?” she looked up at him with a sparkling in her eye. as they walked, they were nearing her apartment’s entrance; it spanned a couple of floors, with a balcony on the second, juliet pulled out her keys and unlocked it as their came up to it, typing away an order into her phone to have the sushi delivered to them. “what kind of prizes do i get for that? i’m certainly going to remember. you’e not half bad yourself,” she smirked, ribbing him lightly. “if i do say so.”

morgan went on a daily run through the park, which was usually in the evening. it was cooler, so she could usually go longer. this time, however, she spotted juliet as she cut through one of her short cuts, “hey…” she panted slightly as she stopped, hands on her hips, “no, it’s cool. don’t worry about it.”
juliet raised her eyebrows. “nighttime jog?” she asked. “i’ve been meaning to do that. they say it’s good for the endorphins, and all, but there’s bugs out, so i just go on the stairmaster, or the treadmill. i think i just try to come up with excuses, now that i think about it. just finishing, or just starting?”
