My dads favorite INKtober piece got framed and it's now officially his gift for Christmas... Although he caught me coming back with it and guessed it was his present, so he opened it super early haha. I'm so happy he liked it enough to keep bugging the hell out of me to frame it!

00 - The Murderous Dame: Madam Bernice. Despite there being so many ladies in this list, one really did stand out. Madam Bernice lost a lot of customers she had worked so hard to gain. With a hit that large, she was quickly headed back to a life of poverty that she swore never again to go through. All thanks to one horrible little man: Archibald. It's sad to see such talents go to waste, but Madam Bernice has kept her head up the entire time. "Better to hang than to go back to how things used to be." 30 - Main Suspects: Gigi Her statement: "It's like I told you before. He's been harassing the girls from my flapper group! He follows them around, makes nasty comments and even gets handsy when he feels like it. Ew. If I show up he flees (probably knows my reputation). But I swear! If I see another one of my girls in tears I'll kill him. Kill him dead! The girls of my group don't have the courage to speak up. But I do. He'll get what he deserves one way or another."

29 - Main Suspects: Maud Her statement: "Kill the old fellow? Why would I want to do that? He's about as old as I am. I'm sure he'll kill over and die soon enough all on his own. It's not like this is a race between the two of us. Although, outliving him would be quite funny. Something about the way he handles himself has always had me thinking he'd die before I ever did. And I'm the adventure seeker of the family! Wrestled a bear once! It was a cub, but still... Hmm? Oh, yes, sorry. What was the question? Right-- the inheritance. It's just a toy our grandmother had left me that he took for his greedy little self. No value to it, just sentimental rubbish if you will. But I'll get it back. Probably sooner than later eh?"

28 - Main Suspects: Gertrude Her statement: "Honey... I barely have enough time to fluff these feathers and breathe at the same time; let alone kill a man. I know what people are saying. But baby, if anybody ever hurts you (and plenty will) go ahead and cry. Take your time. Let it all out. If you need to break something, break something. Once it's broken, pick it up and find a way to fix it. My daddy was a handyman. He taught me how to make things work again. So whenever I'm mad or upset, I take apart something that needs fixing and I fix it. That's how I handle frustration. Death can't be fixed, so why would I break the man who broke my heart?"

27 - Main Suspects: Gladys Her statement: "Honestly I am not surprised that you're here. And no, it has nothing to do with my crystal ball. I'm just very used to being questioned by all sorts of people whenever we draw closer to the "due date" of a prediction. Curious creatures the whole lot of you. But I can't really blame you. It's your job after all. So here, let me simplify things: No, I don't personally know Mr. Pumpernickel. No, I don't have any grudges against the man. No, we were never lovers or even lived in the same town (I only know him by name). Finally, no, I have nothing to gain from his death. But if you want to keep things interesting... One of the things I just said is a lie. Now just figure out which one."

26 - Main Suspects: Louise Her statement: "Yah I slugged him alright. Guy deserved it. Come waltzing into my dads bar talking about how women can't fight and how the only way it's worth the price of admission is if we wear less? Yeah, classy jerk that one. I'll tell you what, I'm glad I did it. Great publicity. My numbers doubled after I hit the guy. If I could I'd repeat the stunt every week. Then I'd be top cat. For that I'd need the guy alive. Just can't guarantee he'd be too right in the head after a couple of weeks though. Not that he's any better right now. Probably an improvement."

25 - Main Suspects: Marvin Her statement: "Are you questioning me just because I'm questionable in my choices of work? Typical. No, I wouldn't lay a finger on the man. And I certainly wouldn't sic my dogs on him either. The man might be rich but my dogs get only the finest meat. Archie needs to loose a few pounds if he wants to qualify for that. Know what I mean?"

24 - Main Suspects: Madam Bernice Her statement: "Grudge? Madam Bernice does not hold grudges. It's un-lady-like to do such a thing. Plus it's bad for you skin. What you actually do is you get even. Gracefully. Without them realizing there's something wrong. Until it's too big a deal to ignore yet too late to fix. See? Much better that way don't you think? An eye for an eye."

23 - Main Suspects: Dahlia Her statement: "Look, Mr. Archibald can be a bit weird. Alright. A lot weird. Sometimes I hear knocks on my window in the middle of the night. I've reported that already. I've also walked into my room with the door unlocked even though I was sure I had locked it. I can't say for sure if he is the man who keeps stalking me, but sometimes when I'm standing on the chair cleaning the high shelves, I don't even hear the man walk into the room. Next thing I know he is there, watching me. It's creepy ok? So yeah... Can't a lady dream of slapping some sense into a man like that? Even if it's with something heavy from the high shelf? Still, I'd never actually hurt the man, unless he tries something first."

21 - Gigi the Mermaid - flapper queen - Weapon: harpoon (wait, what?) Motive: the last dame on our suspects list. Daughter of fisherman, Gigi was constantly teased as a little girl for always smelling like fish. Now that she's all grown up (and quite the looker) men flock to her, fish smell and all. The awful teasing has now taken new form and she's gone from being the "fish girl" to a "beautiful mermaid". But Gigi has her head straight. If you used to tease her, you have no chance with her. Since that's half the men in town, things tend to get a little awkward. So, the girl has taken to walking around with a harpoon. Not only to fend for herself but others as well. If she sees a man being mean or threatening any other dame, Gigi will be quick to act. She's saved quite a few girls in peril, and has put a man or two in the hospital (non life threatening I assure you). So what could Archie have done to upset this girl? Well plenty! But I couldn't find anything. Gigi is actually on our list because she came to us herself saying she was going to hurt the man. Makes me wonder if that's really the case or if she's trying to cover up for someone else. Either way, I'm sure we're close to finding out.

20 - Delilah Pavlova - music instructor - Weapon: violin Motive: bullied and ridiculed for her towering height, Delilah is nothing but sweet, even to her aggressors. Incredible with the violin and the piano alike, this woman is all talent. Thus, it's lamentable that such an incredible lass has so little confidence in herself. Her family always had great hopes that she would go on to be a famous musician. Just wasn't meant to be. So, not to waste her talents, Delilah went on to teach children and young ladies how to play; only to be met with the same bullying, if not worst. Archibald has some particularly bad names for her. How deplorable. There's only so much a person can take, and even a sweet "giant" with a heart of gold can reach her limit.

19 - Cousin Maud - world traveler - Weapon: her airplane (you'd be surprised) Motive: You know that cool aunt who travels and always brings back the niftiest gifts? That's cousin Maud (twice removed from Archibald's mother's side). She's richer than all the Pumpernickel's put together and is also the type that doesn't need help from anybody. The woman is impeccably cool. She's traveled the world twice over and is always looking for a new adventure. Because of that, she barely ever steps back into town. I recently found out from Marigold that Maud was coming back and that they'd have to go meet her in secret. Whatever the reason? Because, what do you know, Archibald absolutely loathes his cousin due to an old quarrel of theirs about some inheritance. Something only the two of them know about. But hey, since the old gal is in town now, might be time to settle that old tiff of theirs. If anything goes down, my bet is on Maud.

18 - Miss Yvonne - artist - Weapon: cadmium paints Motive: I've never seen such a range of emotions, and no, I am not talking about the paintings. Miss Yvonne is as bipolar as they come. Happy for a moment only to be full of rage the next. She's impulsive, hot headed and very creative. She's also trouble. The trouble mostly comes once you buy her art. If it's a done piece you're ok, but if it's commissioned. Oh boy. Most of the times she won't hit deadlines. Other times she does the painting in a day but refuses to hand it over to the client for months. She's also ruined pieces right in front of them just because she no longer liked the colors. If you try to stop her, she'll try to pour cadmium yellow down your throat. So she's on our list because Archibald has a painting to pick up. Knowing how he is and knowing now how she is; its a recipe for disaster.
