I wanted to share my final project for Art 113 advanced class with everyone. Me and 2 other classmates decided to honor the 43 students that are currently missing. We are all from Mexico and decided to based our final on this issue. Each red butterfly represent the bloodshed and each contain the names of all 43 students. Each dove represents the souls of the student and contains their photo. We felt the need to honor these students because they were taken away their freedom and lives at such a young age. This will not be forgotten. I find it unfair that these kids were barely starting to live their lives, fighting for they believe in and sadly cost them their lives. I still have hope they are out there, alive. And if not I hope these students find peace as well as their families. I hope that my classmates and I honored them in a way that expresses our sadness as well as our support.
