Happy Fathers day to my fellow fathers and to all who take on the role of a father! Fatherhood is a complex role. It is also the most unsung, unpraised and unnoticed. Fathers silently nurture in the background, providing calm stability and protection for his loved ones. His actions and the way he influence his children impact not only the present but reverberates through the future. For most who are lucky, they just follow the (fatherhood) blueprint set on by their own fathers. While some, in the absence of a mentor blindingly took on the role by trial and error. Some excel while others fail. As we celebrate father’s day today, we honor the love, hardships and sacrifices of our fathers and “father-figures”, no matter how great or small, perfect or imperfect.
