Empty street at past 9PM. After the Shibuya Crossing experience, we walked in an almost empty street towards our Airbnb. Hotels are quite expensive in #Tokyo. Thank God for Airbnb. Amazed at how clean this city was! Walking around, I never saw any rubbish at all. Chiyoda is an economical powerhouse, the small area East of the palace houses the headquarters of 19 Fortune 500 companies, it is the source of roughly 10% of the combined revenue of all Japanese companies. On the other hand, look at how huge these buildings are! At the heart of #Tokyo and just a few minutes away from the #TokyoStation is the #imperialpalace surrounded by massive stone walls. Outside Tokyo Station, @jamesfigues and I walked towards the Imperial Palace. I have seen a lot of people riding bicycles in this area.
