Art Tuesday #2

Hello ! Today here’s our second Art Tuesday and I’ll show you my favorite canvas EVER. I’m talking about Nighthawks by Edward Hopper.

Okay so this gif is also pretty cool and you can see what I’m talking about :)

I saw an exhibition in 2012 in Paris about Hopper, and I instantly fell in love with his artworks. The realistic side of his painting is impressive, and the way he tells a story with his brushes is outstanding.

I’ll not analyze this canvas, but you should definitvely stare at it for a few minutes :)

Fashion Monday #2

Hey there ! How are you doing dear readers ? Today here’s a Divergent related outfit.

This is a lovely Erudite look :) I belong to this faction and I actually found this outfit really cool for a nerdy girl (without being “cliché”) ! A blue t-shirt, jeans, black shoes and bag, nude make-up and a messy bun is nearly perfect according to me :D

Like I said in the last #FM, these clothes are pretty expensive, so you can recreate this look with cheaper ones :)

You can wear this look everyday, and show your faction pride in the same time :) And even pretend you’re as intelligent as Jeanine Matthews ^.^

French Friday #2

Hello dear followers :) Here’s your new episode of French Friday. Today, let’s talk about Le Petit Journal, one of the best french programm ever !

Okay so this show (named LPJ) is presented by Yann Barthès (over there), a french journalist who is pretty cute BTW. Every evening (20h25 for my french followers), and since 2004, a talented team of journalists are tackling actuality : politics, economics, people, music,… It’s both sarcastic (you laugh a lot) and serious (you really learn about actuality). 

There’s five parts in the programm. My favorite one (as many girls I guess) is Martin Weil’s one. He’s such a cutie pie ^^ All the teenagers I know have a little crush on him.

All of other journalists are all awesome :)

Random Thursday #1

Hello my cuties ! Here’s my new and last section :) I think the title is explicit enough ^^ So, today, let’s talk about my Harry Potter house : Slytherin !

A lot of people have a bad a priori on this wonderful house, because they associate it with the Death Eaters and Voldemort. However, Slytherins are ambitious and intelligent. I totally think myself as a Slytherin because I know what I want and I’m ready to (and kinda pretty good at) manipulating people ^.^ But don’t be afraid :)

Actually, I was a Ravenclaw when I was younger but then I realized that I’m too much ambitious for this (as great as Slytherin to me) house. I LOVE Ravenclaw because we form a incredible duo as far as I can tell !

So, little people of the internet, don’t think that ALL Slytherin are bad or evil ; they just know what they want and are able to get it :)

And about the idea that Slytherin hate other houses : my best friends are mostly Ravenclaw, some are Hufflepuff and few are coming from Gryffindor !

Reading Wednesday #1

Hey there ! I love reading and I’ve decided to present you a book a week :)

Let’s start with A serie of unfortunate events by Lemony Snicket !

These books are awesome ! They relate the storie of the siblings and orphans Baudelaire (like the french writer ^.^). You can find the plot here :

There’s 13 books and YOU MUST READ THEM. The plot is incredible with all the secrets and the mysteries. I fell in love with the children and with VFD.

Happy Sunday #1

Hello there ! How are you ? Today I introduce a new part of my Tumblr : Happy Sunday. Here’s a summary of all the little things that made me happy during the week :D

I went to the library and borrowed at least 10 books (you’ll discover them soon in Reading Wednesday :D). I felt like that :

I bought new shoes (flips flops and “Tropéziennes”), a gorgeous hat, a lovely bagpack and also few clothes BECAUSE IT’S SALES PERIOD IN FRANCE !

I’ve watched Avengers and it was cool af (mainly w/ Tony and Bruce) ! I also came in the cinema to see Inside Out :D That was really great also. 

I started learning Python (for programming) and found some good maths and physics jokes :D

And I found sooooo many gifs (I guess you understood) :) Here’s my fav :

DIM Saturday #1

Hey there ! Here’s my new section, inspired by my passions : Did It Myself :) If you have any interest in what I did, you can message me or ask me how I did what I’ll present you and I’ll post it :)

Soooo… Let’s start ! 

Today, here’s one of my favorite recipe, perfect for every season. Ladies and Gentlemen… The citruses pie !

It’s a very colorful and easy dessert, even though it requires three hours (definitively worthing it !). It’s one of the tastiest pie I’ve ever ate :)

I took the recipe in a lovely book, Les Recettes de Base, edited by Tomawalk.

French Friday #1

France is a really nice country (it’s also mine ^.^). So every Friday, I’ll help you to discover it by a pic or a popular TV show or even a movie… Here we go !

Today I’ll present you an awesome TV show named Kaamelott, directed by Alexandre Astier. 

So Kaamelott is basically the story of King Arthur, and all of the legends and blablabla… But it’s really funny, I burst out laughing half of the time because of all the jokes that are absolutely excellent. All of the knights are a little foolish, and Arthur is tired (who wouldn’t ?).

To put it in a nutshell, if you want to laugh, or if you want to improve your french, you have found the perfect show ! It’s available in DVD or in streaming if you come from a foreign country, or every night on Paris Première if you come from France :)
