I had a dream about a house episode where a dad came in with his son, injected himself with prednisolone and died immediately. They discover he was diabetic, they test the kid the kid is not diabetic, so they inject him with prednisolone to test something. The kid drops dead, and during the autopsy they turn him around to find out he has « I will die » and the exact date tattooed on his back. After that creepy tags start appearing on hospital walls and I woke up screaming, 10/10 best and scariest house episode.

Riverdale is a GREAT show, its CAMP, its, FUN, its so gay, its colorful, its meta, its heartwarming, its stupid, so stupid but that’s what makes it so good. It makes no sense and yet its genius, I will die on that hill, riverdale is great when you stop being a film bro hispter killjoy.

Things can be fun. Not everything has to be serious and profound. It’s okay to have some glitter, a few songs and a weird ass plot.

Im rewatching riverdale rn so I’m gonna add a few things.

Every single frame is beautiful. Never one hair out of place, never one color that clashes with the rest of the scene.

There are references to a lot of great books, movies, historical events, and they might be done in a silly way that some people could see as unserious but I think it’s just a reference adapted to the shows art style. Donna sweet for Donna tart ? Love it. The musical episodes ? Full of joy.

It’s communist propaganda. Archie will absolutely house, feed, entertain and teach every single kid he comes across, not mentioning the homeless people, the volunteer firefighter department, the dog rescue and so many more.

It’s a comic book come to life. The war is World War One because it’s cool visually. It also blends with football locker pep talk just because. They have cellphones but use Polaroids. Everything is just there for cool factor. No brain just vibe. The dialogues sound weird because they’re supposed to.

It’s an incredible show, both stupid, politically engaged, very gay, visually stunning and extremely entertaining. It doesn’t have to make sense.
