Honestly, the best tip i can give you is having a reference. While doing folds in drawings, I usually just search the specific type of clothing and try to copy the way the material would fold (and hope for the best😭). It's even easier if you have a reference with the type of clothes you want to draw + the pose you're going for. If you can't find a reference, frankenstein one and use a bit of your imagination + your knowledge on physics. This works very well for me as a self-taught artist who doesn't draw from foundation and just scribble until the drawing looks right.
