New Viv Column!! She talks about Beth joining city and living together again and city start back up on the 20th of July!

That is why I have decided to take a break, after which I will start again at Manchester City on July 20. Together with Beth (girlfriend Beth Mead, ed.), who has now also chosen City after Arsenal.

We have naturally talked a lot about that. I have always said that she had to make a football choice, and she did look around at clubs, but partly due to the season we had with the league title, winning the FA Cup, and the direction our board wants to take, this is the club she wanted to go to. The fact that we can now live together again, together with Myle, naturally helps the picture. When you look at everything that is going on with family, it is very nice to be able to be together again and not have to travel back and forth anymore. And I am looking forward to it from a football perspective as well. Beth is a smart player, and in terms of quality and experience, she is a huge asset.

The way people are just ignoring Beth speaking in clear hypotheticals and giving examples as to where fans should realise that that they cross lines and don’t actually know her and vivs personal relationship and don’t have the right to either. People are acting like she said for certain that’s what is happening when she didn’t at all. I really encourage everyone goes and listens to what she actually said and her tone of voice.

but also, like my issue is people being "concerned" despite contradictory evidence.....

bc one thing if they havent posted or referenced each other in a while, then there is another of the last several weeks them being together to get the van and in manchester, beth forgetting not to be simp on socials liking everything viv related INCLUDING her birthday post and commenting on city's post.....the jewerlly we know they didnt buy for themselves.....literally talking about viv constantly like...

there's a point of worrying and then there's panic that not normal or healthy

I don’t get why people are worried they are completely fine in Viv’s recent post as from her bday she is literally wearing her matching ring and necklace

I think the worry mostly comes from the fact that they seem to interact less online than they used to (probably bc of fans who wants to know everything and are very parasocial). From a behavioural psychology perspective (I feel a nerd saying this 🤓), this result is actually a very normal human reaction. When we notice a change in a pattern we’re familiar with, our brains automatically try to find a reason or explanation for it. The problem is that this can turn into overthinking + people start filling in the gaps with spectulation, assumptions and questions when it's none of their business. It becomes so parasocial and unhealthy at some points.

It’s the same with things like them going on holiday separately or Beth not being in the Netherlands for Viv’s birthday. Those things are changes from what people were used to seeing or expecting, so people start wondering if there’s a reason behind it and want to know everything. But a change/when it turns out different than you expect doesn’t automatically mean something is wrong: there can be so many explanations that we simply don’t know about. And we don't have to know about. It is not our right to know everything.

Then add the trolls constantly pushing theories and trying to create doubt, and you can understand why some people end up 'worrying'.
