Bittersweet: Dark Cacao Cookie X Reader

The bedroom was always quiet when you were in it.

There was no music, there was no laughter, there was only an echoing silence that remained no matter what. It was only silent when you were alone, though, since you were usually always alone in your bedroom. Whenever he’d come in to rest, sleep, anything- he’d make little noise, and all you’d be able to hear was the sound of his breathing as he rested. Not that he ever relaxed. 

He was always busy watching over his subjects and his kingdom. The raging sea nearby, the dangers that could rise, problems the people would encounter: he’d take care of each and every mishap that could harm the kingdom. His mighty sword was always by his side, and so were his right-hand men. You were not a right-hand man. You were his wife.

He’d come into the bedroom looking exhausted, and it was hard to tell when he wasn’t. He was a cold and overprotective man, and he was the hardest-working cookie you knew. It was admirable; his dedication to the kingdom and his people was above and beyond. But his dedication to you began to falter. Ever since the Dark Flour War and his son being exiled, he wasn’t the same man that you fell in love with. He didn’t laugh anymore, he grew strict, and he rarely let his emotions show. Everything he had gone through caused his dough to grow stiff. His soul jam rested in his sword, and that seemed to be where his heart rested, too. 

You’d try everything to gain a smile from him again, but none of your attempts had worked yet. Caramel Arrow Cookie could smile, and she did. Crunchy Chip Cookie would crack a grin every now and then. His soldiers could still have a good time. Those cookies worked just as hard to protect the kingdom, and they could still have a laugh. Why couldn’t he do that too?

You didn’t feel jealous or angry at them doing what he couldn’t. It only made you sad. If he was your husband, why didn’t he treat you like his wife?

You lay on top of the bed, your loose-fitting tank mingling with the covers. You were in your pajamas, waiting for Dark Cacao Cookie to come to bed. It was late at night, and the sun had set long ago. Finally, you heard the doorknob jingle and the door opened. Dark Cacao Cookie sighed and bowed his head. He didn’t speak to you; he just worked to remove his armor to settle down and fall asleep. You frowned. “Nothing to say?” You asked with a snarky tone, visibly annoyed. “Is it just another night of silence, sleep, and then work again? A rinse-and-repeat cycle?”

He looked at you with nothing to say. His eyes seemed weary, the bags and wrinkles on his face creasing with a slight sense of sorrow. He looked sorry, though he didn’t say it out loud. You got up out of bed to walk over to him. He was much taller than you- he was a well-built man, with smooth muscles and a strong face. He stood up straight, looking down at you. His brows furrowed and his eyes looked dull.

“Is everything okay?” You asked gently, feeling a bit guilty for your attitude. He took a deep breath and grasped your hand. “Every minute not by your side… do you know what it does to me?” “I, huh?”

 “Every second I am not in your presence is suffocating. It’s as if I can feel something shake when I am away, and it only resides once I am in your presence. I can count the hours, the days, the months protecting my kingdom, but I cannot count the hours you wait for me.” He spoke with a deep, unwavering tone, and his face crinkled as he looked at you. He did not break his tough character; he only let it crack just enough so you’d see he wasn’t lying.

A soft smile grew on your lips. You reached up, caressing his face. “I know, dear, I know. It’s just- I wish you’d give a little more to me. You’re always so busy with the kingdom… and I miss you. And I know you know how much I do.” You sighed, taking your hand off his face. “What if, just for one day, you lay down the sword? Just be my husband for the day.” 

Dark Cacao Cookie stiffened. “I need to protect my kingdom. My kingdom needs me. I cannot just put my sword down…”

“Please.” You looked up at him, your pleading eyes touching deep in his jam. “I miss my husband. And I know how protective you are, but I also know that everyone can take care of the kingdom for a while. Caramel Arrow Cookie is strong and intelligent. I have no doubt she could defend while you are away. And Crunchy Chip Cookie! He admires you, and he would never let you down with the kingdom in his hands. All your soldiers, subjects, everyone- they are all strong enough to uphold everything. You put so much trust into your people. They put so much trust in you. You’re their king.”

Dark Cacao Cookie fell silent, frowning and looking away from you. He sighed, then turned his head to face you again. “I guess one day… couldn’t be so bad.” He released your hand from his grasp to hold your waist. He pulled you in close, hugging you gently. He bowed his head to rest on top of yours, exhaling softly as he held you. “The bed is warm, my dear.” You giggled. “Are you tired now?”

You tried to pull away to head to bed, but he held you tighter. “Just a few minutes more…” he mumbled softly. “Just a few minutes more.”

-Every time you were at a performance of his, you always had the urge to paint him.

-So one night, when you had trouble sleeping, you went over to the desk in the room and began to make a base sketch.

-You wanted to capture the emotion he put out during his shows, so you made a basic but dramatic rough sketch.

-After that, you had scavenged for paint around the tent, but there was none, so you took a trip to Iselda & Cornifer's shop to see if they had anything (they did).

-You didn’t know how he’d react to you painting him, so you always did it in secret. Usually when he was in a deep slumber, or when he was rehearsing for a performance.

-But one day, when you were adding finishing details to the painting, you accidentally knocked off a vial of red paint from the table with your elbow, causing it to shatter on the floor.

-Grimm’s eyes shot open from the sudden noise. He looked around for the cause, and his eyes landed on you staring back at him.

-He came down from the ceiling and gently approached you, confused at what was going on. He saw the broken glass and paint on the floor and grew curious. He didn't have paint in the tent, so where did it come from, and why do you have it?

-He was met with a medium canvas on the table, with red paint on it. He walked closer and realized that it was a painting of him! His eyes widened and he picked it up, examining it further.

-A smile grew on his face. He loved it!

-"Y/N, this is wonderful! How come you never told me about this?" He asked.

-You went on to tell him that you wanted to paint him from seeing his performances, but you didn't know how he'd react. So you decided to do it in secret.

-He laughed, and told you that if you do it again he'd love to know and watch.

-You rarely ever saw him, since his other half was in showbiz, so when you did you were always delighted to see the slightly changed features and the more brutish personality.

    The sun shines into your eyes, making you wake up. As you yawn and stretch with Grimm asleep next to you- something feels off.

“Grimm?” You whisper. “What day is it?”

You open it and gasp. “‘Little Adventures?’ How’d you know I wanted this book? Thank you!”

“Well, you didn’t stop talking about it for a while.”

    For the next 10 minutes, you opened gift after gift, getting things like a new pair of slippers and some art supplies. Afterwards, you hugged him tightly, giggling thank you’s and kissing his cheek.

    Later, you two took a walk through Dirtmouth, waving hello to Elderbug, stopping by Iselda & Cornifer’s shop, and (by all means necessary) avoiding Zote.

Follow My Lead: Troupe Master Grimm x Human Reader- Part 6

A/N: Chapter 6 is rolling in! I’m super happy with how it came out, and I hope you guys enjoy it! And as I remembered, here you go @keegansakura​! ~~~~~~~~~~~~

     Brumm continued to gawk at you, the color underneath his mask turning redder by the second. Grimm was enraged, his face growing redder too, but with fury.

     “GET OUT!”

     Brumm scurried away.

     Grimm stepped over and crouched, rubbing his hand on your shoulder. “Are you alright?” He asked. “Does it still hurt?” “No Grimm, I’m fine. But what was that outburst you had?” You chuckled. “Well, to put it simply, Brumm and I aren’t on the best terms, but he does his job and gets rewarded for it.”

     He paused. “But I can feel that something happened when he saw you.”

     “Grimm, it’s alright. There’s no need to worry, he’s probably just shocked that a human is in this world, I’m sure he’s never seen a human before.” You smiled. He nodded and picked you up from your spot on the floor. He placed you down on the bed and tugged on the covers to put them over you. Once he did, he got under them too and cuddled close. “I’m quite tired, Y/N. I want you to rest here too.”

     You obliged.

     But unbeknownst to you two, Brumm had never left the area- he was outside the tent eavesdropping. ‘What is Master doing with the human?’ He thought. ‘Is he helping them out or… or is there something more?’

     He scampered to his own little tent and began writing in a journal:

     I saw a human in Hallownest today! It was very pretty. I don’t know how they got here, but Master seems to like them. He got mad when I began to stare- furious, even. He yelled at me to leave, but I listened in to their conversation, and the human was right. I have never seen a human (until them). But then I heard Grimm say something like, ‘I’m tired and you should rest with me.’ There was no sound after that.            The human just won’t leave my mind though. Something about them is just better and different than any bug I’ve seen down here. I’m quite fond of the feeling.

     He closed the journal and laid on his own smaller, less luxurious bed. But sleep wouldn’t visit him that night. That human would keep him awake.

     Small beams of light began to shine through the roof of the tent, waking you up. Grimm was still asleep though, his arms around your waist like you were a stuffed animal. “Grimm?” You whispered. No response. Just soft snores. “Grimm, are you gonna wake up?” “Mmm… not yet…” And he held you closer, preventing you from leaving. You giggled, and rested your eyes once again.

     Soon enough, the familiar jingle of an accordion broke the silence. “Master!” Brumm shouted, outside the tent. “It’s time to practice! We have a performance tomorrow night!” Grimm stirred and sat up with the same glare he had yesterday. “Yes Brumm, I’m up.” He shouted back. “Let me get ready then. Leave me at once!”

     He allowed you to wait outside of the tent if you wanted, but with one condition. “Do not talk to Brumm”. It sounded ridiculous; he seemed like a nice guy! 

     But you didn’t want to anger him, especially after the outburst he had with your first ‘meeting.’

     So, you waited outside and looked around: bright red lights casted an eerie glow, and the place didn’t look as nice as the City of Tears, but it had some sort of home-ish aura.

     And not long later, you heard small footsteps and Brumm was standing in front of you.

     “O-oh, hello! You’re t-that human, right?” He spoke. “I just wanted to say hello, Master ushered me out when I was s-staring- I’m sorry for staring too!”

     He was so cute!

     “Aww! It’s alright, and hi! I’m Y/N. But I hate to break it to you, Grimm doesn’t want me talking to you- he says you guys aren’t on the best terms. I’m sorry, and I wish I could talk longer!”

     “Oh…” He pressed his fingers together. “Well, we’re outside his tent. He might hear us. Here, come into mine. I want to get to know you!”

     Hmm, the rule was ridiculous anyway.

     “Okay! Lead the way, Brumm!”

     He held his hand out to you, and you playfully took it. From real first impressions, he acted so sweet and cute! Once you held it, he started pulling you in the direction of where his tent must be.

     He pulled up a little stool and motioned for you to sit, then flopped onto the bed and sat with his legs criss-crossed. “How did you end up here?”

     “It’s hard to explain. I just, well, woke up here. I thought it was a dream but Grimm said it was all real.” “So you knew Master when you first arrived?” “Sort of? I mean I sat down on a bench maybe after hours of walking, and he showed up like five minutes later.”  “How was he?” “Really nice! He took me to one of his shows and we grew closer for weeks after that. But it seems like you want to know more about my relationship with Grimm than myself-” “Oh! I’m sorry. I don’t really know what to ask now that I know why you’re here.” “Awh! That’s okay. But I think Grimm should be finished now, so I’ll be on- “Y/N!”

Grimm stormed through the tent flaps, his eyes glowing with rage. You had done the very thing he told you not to- you talked with Brumm. “Grimm!” “Master!”

     He grabbed your wrist forcefully and dragged you away. “Grimm, I’m sorry! I’m sorry! Please let go!” You shouted. But he didn’t. ~~~

     “What were you thinking!?” “He seemed nice! Your rule was ridiculous! Why won’t you let me talk to him!?”

     “I don’t want to lose you, okay!?”

     He was breathing heavily with tears at the corners of his eyes. He just stood there, waiting for a response. “I don’t want to lose you… I saw the way he looked at you.”

     He wiped his tears away and brought you into a hug. “Please…” “Grimm, you aren’t gonna lose me.” “Unexpected things happen.” ... “Can I please at least be friends? You’re the only one I love.”

     He thought about it for a moment, then smiled. “Alright, I’m the only one you love, right?”

     “I just said that!”

     And he kissed you, grinning as he did.

Follow My Lead: Troupe Master Grimm x Human Reader- Part 5

A/N: Finally got the 5th chapter out! Had a bit of writer’s block for this story, but those requests really helped me out!      “I- I feel a strange connection to you, I feel- what was it…- love. Towards you. I love you.”

     The blush on his face grows even deeper, and he shrouds his face in his cloak. He looks like he is shaking. Tiny tears prick at the corners of his eyes- he looked scared. Scared of? You didn’t know.

     “Grimm, I think I feel the same way.” You smile and comfort him, placing your hand on his cheek and gently stroking it. He calms down a bit, “You do..?” “I do. I don’t think I can help it.” “Oh, Y/N!” He sweeps you off your feet into a beautiful, big bear hug. He buries his head into the crook of your neck, squeezing you tighter. “I’ve fallen so hard for you.. I can’t believe it. I was scared you wouldn’t feel the same, no other bug, (or human in that matter) has ever made me feel such a way,” He whispers. “I wouldn’t know.”

     He backs up, and holds your hands, staring deeply into your eyes. His cheeks flash pink again, and he asks, “May I..? You nod.

     He drops your hands and places his on your jawline, bringing you into a passionate kiss. Rough, sweet, and mesmerizing. He makes it last for at least a minute before pulling away, both of your faces a red-hot mess. His eyes twinkle with love and amazement, once again meeting your gaze.

     “That was-”      “That was magnificent.”

     He buries his face again into your neck, rubbing against it. Little touch-starved baby. You wrap your arms around him for a gentle hug. After a few seconds, you slowly move him to a bench close by. He practically melts into you, like a sleepy kitten. And that’s exactly what he does- he falls asleep.      You stroke his horns while he rests his head on your chest, his arms around your torso, and the rain seemed to fall a bit slower. It’s been a long time since you’ve felt so much love and joy.

     While Grimm was sleeping, you let yourself sleep too, the two of you cuddling for hours. ~~~

     You woke up with a pain in your neck, and Grimm now resting his head on your lap. He looked so precious, so peaceful, but you were tired of sitting on the bench: you wanted to go for a walk.

     Gently, you laid Grimms body down on the bench, and quietly walked away to not wake him.

     The place looked the same as ever, dreary and wet, but you now felt different about it. It didn’t feel so much like a mystery, no, that’s been solved- it almost felt like some heaven. And Grimm was the angel, you the poor sinner. He saw it the other way around.

     You felt a dash of warmth behind you, and two arms slithering their way around your waist. “Why did you leave? I had woken up, and you weren’t there. I was worried, why? “Oh Grimm, I was tired. So I went on a walk, but I didn’t wake you since you looked so peaceful. I’m sorry.” “Then next time, wake me. I wouldn’t be mad. And I have a question to ask.” “What is it?”

     “Would you move in? I wouldn’t stand for you spending any more nights- or days- in this place. We’re both sopping wet. Would you? We’d be closer as well…” He mumbled the last part.

     “YES! Uh, yes! I’d love to. I don’t want to be out here anymore, but I’d still love to walk and talk.”

     “Then hold on!”

     He took your hands and in the blink of an eye, you were in some sort of tent. It looked like a bedroom, and not entirely as tent-like as you would think. It looked more like an observatory, but with no windows. There was a bed with fine silk sheets, big enough for two people. “A king needs his beauty sleep.” He laughed.      Suddenly, you heard the flap of a tent opening, and the small jingle of an accordion. You heard a voice call out: “Hello? Master, are you in there?”

     Grimm quickly placed a hand over your mouth and ushered you to hide next to the bed. “Yes Brumm, what do you want?” He replied with a groan.

     Footsteps approached the area with the jingling accordion getting louder. You could see the figure now: He had a large, fluffy red ring around his neck, and a mask like the Grimmkin in the crowd. There were also small horns atop his head, and his arms were striped with a grey-ish beige and black. The accordion was really something that looked like a maggot. He did look like a sweet fellow, and Grimm didn’t seem to look at him the same.

     You tried to get a better look at him, but you hit your shoulder on the side of the bed, making you yelp. You quickly put your hand over your mouth, hoping they didn’t hear- but it was too late. Brumm was gazing over at you, and Grimm was glaring at Brumm. He blushed. “Oh my goodness…”

Pure Vessel/The Hollow Knight headcanons

They adore affection. Whether it’s sweet words, compliments, or cuddles, any form of affection can make that empty heart swell.

Even though they were made to be hollow, there’s a small part of them that cares deeply for you.

They love hearing you sing. They can’t [sing].

They do not like to be alone. At all. If you decide to go on a walk, if you need to run errands, or anything that involves you leaving, they’re devastated until you come back.

Signs or writes to you for cuddles- a lot.

Messy painter! They have fun doing it though- and it’s better with you!

If you get hurt, they are top-tier material for taking care of you. Tea, cuddles, band-aids, you name it. They’ll be there for you always.

They never leave your side. Unless you tell them to, like if you need to run errands or just need some alone time. It breaks their heart though.

If they are not in a good mood, they act just like a statue. They show no love, no feelings- they are how they were supposed to be.

Even though they look like an intimidating bug- their horns looking large and sharp, their tall and bony figure- but they’re such a sweetheart!

Likes brushing your hair. No reason why, it’s just enjoyable for them, especially when you hum.

Doesn’t like going outside (often). If you go outside, they’ll watch from a window. They don’t want you getting hurt.

Likes picking out your outfits. You’re so pretty!

Their love language is more physical touch and affection, but will also give you love letters, sign/write compliments, and give you gifts.

Yandere! Nightmare King Grimm headcanons

“Have you ever seen a god?”

Troupe Master Grimm. Your best friend down here. The extravagant performer who always had your back, who cared for you so much, more than his “co-workers” he knew for ages. But it seems there was another side of him you didn’t quite catch on to.

You did notice that he seemed a lot angrier than usual. And even more jealous. Whenever you had a small talk with another friend, a kind stranger, or even a shop owner, he would always usher you to leave and go home, where he would shoot glares at whoever was with you.

Once, you had asked to take a walk in the City of Tears to clear your head. He wanted to come with you, but you pleaded for him to just let you walk alone. He was annoyed, but he huffed for you to leave. That was apparently his last straw- he knew you just wanted to get away.

So he followed from far behind. Watching your every move as you took in the scenery, played with the rain, rested on benches, everything you did. And while you were on a bench, he saw a small bug, a beetle, come to you and ask if he could sit on the bench too. You smiled and scooted over, the beetle hopping up next to you. It started a conversation, and Grimm was fuming from behind a large rock.

The last thing you remembered seeing was the beetle’s helpless smile and a flash of red before you were whisked away by Grimm. His cloak wrapped around your body, dragging you along with him as he took you home. The beetle’s carcass fell from the bench with a soft thud followed by a crack.

That was the day that everything changed.

He became a lot more possessive. He took you everywhere he went and followed you everywhere, and he would never allow you to talk with anyone. You didn’t have friends anymore. But what did that matter? You had Grimm. He always said he’d be there for you.

But one day,

It was midnight. You couldn’t sleep, no matter how much you tried. You felt lonely, empty, gone. So you slipped out to find Grimm. When you did, he was sleeping upside down. But suddenly, you heard tiny footsteps approaching. A smaller creature, a vessel, holding an intricate nail approached. It paid no attention to you, but to Grimm. You watched curiously at the vessel. It pulled out the nail, and ever so swiftly, it struck him. And the room was sent into a blinding white.

Next thing you knew, you were in the arms against someone’s chest, held tightly. The figure was walking, but you didn’t know where. It just looked murky and red. The figure soon came to a stop, gently letting you down onto something soft- a bed? You looked around: Yes, you were on a bed, and it looked like Grimm’s bedroom. But something was off; everything looked less pristine and luxurious. And next to you stood Grimm. But not Grimm? His horns were longer, now a scarlet red along with his cloak. He was taller, too. Staring at you with a devilish smile and eyes glowing with an unhealthy shade of red- fueled with love. What was going on…? ~~~~~~~~~~~

Possessive bug. I mean like a possessive bug. He wants you and only you, and no one else can. He loves you too much to let you be tainted by the dangers of the world.

Easily jealous. But there’s no need to be if he only has you.

The bedroom you woke up in was where you would spend most of your time. By orders of Grimm, of course.

And strangely, almost every night you have a nightmare. Many morbid images flash through your mind, but they all seem to end with you crying in Grimm’s chest, and him gently stroking your hair and rubbing your back, always whispering, “It’s okay my dear, I’ll be here for you…”

He barely lets you go on walks anymore. But if it’s urgent, since he couldn’t just keep you in a single space forever, he’ll accompany you on them. If anyone dares to make any movements to you, or even eye contact, consider them already six feet under.

This man will get you anything you want or need if it’s possible. He’ll go as far as to kill something for it, if it stands in his way.

Always leaves a delicate flower on the bedside table every morning with a paper heart next to it.

At random times, he’ll swoop you up and dance. Doesn’t matter what kind of dance, he’ll get what he wants.

Loves cuddles.

There’s so much I could list about him

First of all, he is a very protective bug. Whether it’s from any attackers or a crowd making you uncomfortable, he is there and will have your back and put himself in front of the danger.

With that, he is also a bug that can get pretty jealous; especially at Brumm. He’s a sweet bug, and he’s your best friend here, and Grimm doesn’t like that too much. Brumm and Grimm have an… odd relationship. Whenever Grimm catches you with Brumm, he’ll try his best to steal your attention and have you all to himself.

He has a list of nicknames for you, including dear, honey, hun, darling, lovely, and in more “romantic” themes, My Queen.  

He loves to walk with you in the City of Tears. After all, it’s where you first met.

Even with his tough and flamboyant exterior, he’s just like a little child in your arms, and he’s so sweet and affectionate towards you. He’ll shower you with compliments all day long, and will never, ever try to hurt you.

If it’s one of those days where you’re in a state of dysphoria, he’ll tell you about all the wonderful memories you two have made and how much he enjoys them, and will give you reassuring words to help get you in the right state of mind.

 When Grimm is performing, he has a specially reserved front-row seat just for you. Only his lover deserves the best view.

This man drinks (alcohol). He likes it more if you drink with him. Whatever drink you want, he’ll get. And if you don’t drink, then he’ll tell you to play pretend- like you’re at a tea party.

He LOVES to dance with you. Usually, a waltz where the two of you gracefully slide across the floor, but sometimes, he likes something more fun, like a samba.

He’s not much of a singer, but can sing.

And lastly, his love language is more of compliments and gifts, but he adores it when you hold him. He does love holding you too.

White Lady X Reader X Pale King- Wait

When you told the king that you had a lover, he was happy. You two had known each other for so long, and you had come to visit him and help with his work every day. He was happy for you. He smiled, congratulated you with a slightly quivering voice, and asked who it was. “The pretty tree lady, The White Lady is her name.” You had said. He hugged you, said that he was happy for you again, and rushed out of the room to continue his work.

He was not happy; quite the opposite. He was crushed.

He had waited a while to tell you his feelings for you. He loved you but was too nervous to let it show. He didn’t think you liked him back. He was too timid, too scared to tell you. And now, with your breaking news, he missed his shot.

He didn’t turn back to his work, he rushed to his bedroom and slammed the door, locking it. He slouched and slid to the floor, against his door, his hands tugging on the natural crown he had atop his head. Tears formed in his eyes, for he knew he lost the game. He wasn’t supposed to care for you, or anyone, no, not at all. But that changed when you came into the palace for the first time.

You, the sweet, generous, overall amazing friend he had, the one he had fallen in love with, would not love him back;  you had found another. And coincidentally, he knew The White Lady. He had spoken to her, many times, and the two had grown close. Very good friends, even today. But a dangerous infection had broken out, and he needed someone to make a vessel so empty inside that it could contain it. And she had helped him, they had made the vessel, but it simply didn’t seem to be enough. She had soon barricaded herself from him, afraid, but she still cared. He didn’t know what happened to her. That was the first time he began to feel attached to someone, but he didn’t “care”. He couldn’t.He thought he had lost her, and now he thought he lost you…

He pounded the door with fists full of anger and despair. How could he be so blind? You deserved more anyway. You were so out of his league, no wonder you had fallen for another. The White Lady was a beautiful and gracious soul, just like you- of course she loved you. You two were perfect. But he couldn’t stand the thought any longer. But even though he had so much anger, so many cries waiting to be released to you, pleas for you to open your eyes wider and just see, he couldn’t stay mad.

And the sadness came tumbling in. Guilt, for being so cowardly and not telling you how he feels. Despair, for knowing he could never have you. Loneliness, for he would not have you by his side loving him.

He would still try. He would never want to let you go, no matter what. He would stay friends even until death, waiting for you to see how he felt. 

He would just have to wait. Only time would tell.

Follow My Lead: Troupe Master Grimm x Human Reader- Part 4

A/N: This is a shorter chapter, but I promise the 5th one will be longer! 5th is currently in the works too. Anyways, enjoy! ~~~~~~~~~~~~

     That statue had been your resting place for the day. You had grown bored of the same bench and sitting there; it felt nice to finally go somewhere new. Though you were still cautious of the area around, you had begun to loosen up a bit. Began to be more comfortable.

     No longer did you feel trapped. No longer did you feel chained.

     You had finally felt free.

     Sitting up, you held your hands out in front of you to catch the rain. Once a drop fell in your palm, it quietly slipped down your fingers. Sure, your whole body was drenched, but this rain felt different. It felt better, to put it simply.

     Laughing with joy, more droplets fell into your palm and slipped out again; it felt wonderful. So you stood up with your hands above your head, catching the rain quicker and letting it run down your arms or plop on your head. It’s been too long since you’ve felt this way.

     And you spun, just like a girl in a music box. The giggles and rain were the melody. And you sang along with it;

     “There’s lots of pretty people here,      Sharing sotries and passing letters and      There’s lots of questions answered and-” ~~~

You didn’t notice Grimm had come. He stood there, watching, focusing on your silly movements and your wonderful voice. What was this song? He didn’t know, he didn’t care. You were so captivating.

Why had he come? He had come to confess. ~~~

     “People that dance and compute that      No one is better than-      you!”

And you ended with a final pose; Right at Grimm.

“...Grimm? What are you doing here? Did you hear everything..?” “I did. You sound lovely. I’ve come to ask you something, if you have time..?” He had a little bit of pink along his face and his voice was a bit shaky.

“I have nothing but time. What do you need?”
