牧田純　JUN MAKITA 個展 「KIDS SEE DREAMS AND FORGET」 2021.10.16 [ sat ] _ 11.7 [ sun ] Thu +Fr 15:00 - 20:00・Sat +Sun 12:00 - 19:00 Closed Mon -Wed [ Last day〜18:00 ] WISH LESS gallery 東京都北区田端5-12-10 03-5890-0696 作家からステートメント： 私はグラフティに憧れたはずがストリートに縁がなく、 家でキャンバスに向かいペタペタと絵の具を塗る毎日を過ごしてます。 雲や草木と眠り、花や鳥や動物の会話に耳をすまし、世界のエネルギーを全身で受け止め、キャンバスに叩きつける。 そうして制作して行くうちに作品には、幼い頃どこかで出会った様な動物達が現れはじめました。 それは大事にしていたぬいぐるみかも知れないし、絵本かも知れない。拾った石かもしれないし、切られた木かも知れない。 大人になる為に捨てられ、影に隠れている者たちに光をあて前へ進む。 その先に美術の裏街道ぐらいはあるんじゃないかと信じています。 I was supposed to be a graffiti artist, but I never made it to the streets. I spend my days at home, slapping paint on the canvas. I spend my days at home painting, sleeping with clouds and trees, listening to the conversations of flowers, birds and animals. I take in the energy of the world with my whole body and slap it on the canvas. As I continued to work in this way, animals that I had met somewhere in my childhood began to appear in my works. They may be stuffed animals that I cherished, or picture books. It could be a stone I found, or a tree I cut down. I'm trying to shine a light on those who were discarded to become adults and are hiding in the shadows, and move forward. I believe that there is at least a backstreet of art beyond that.
