So on my Ogilvie post from like two days ago, I don't have the self-confidence to write or post fics (and unmedicated paranoia + the ao3 curse is nightmare fuel), but I do have some Thoughts.

I think Ogilvie very much gives only child raised by very inattentive parents that only responded to academic achievements, which in my mind explains (but doesn't excuse, don't flame me in the replies) his sort of steam rolling behavior. I also can't imagine he's ever had very good friends, idk he just reads as the sort of lonely you are when your friends lowkenuinely hate you and aren't subtle about it.

I do kinda forsee a Santos-esque redemption by the end of the season for Ogilvie, but given that a lot of the fandom hates him, I don't think it will be well received or cared about all that much. In my mind he is very much the same coin as Santos flipped from heads to tails.

Most of this is probably projection, but I'm deffo projecting that I think his favorite drink is sweet tea (proper southern style with a pound of sugar per ounce of tea) paired with like the best gooey butter cookies you can only get from a random google recipe you'll never find again or your grandma's kitchen.

Also, since I'm rolling out the red carpet for my unpopular opinions, I cannot see Hucklerobby. I'm sorry fandom folks, I do not see the chemistry past mentor + mentee/father + son. Rabbot and Melangdon are very dear to me tho, if that redeems me. Quick edit after posting: I can see Hucklerabbot, just not Hucklerobby, idk what's wrong w me.

(Also also, none of this post is hating on people who disagree with me about Ogilvie or people who ship Hucklerobby or etc etc. At the end of the day, tumblr is a fandom space and fandoms are freely open to a massive amount of differing opinions and I'm not gonna hate on or argue about differing opinions when I feel like that's just a little childish. No disrespect to anybody I disagree with, feeling different ways about characters doesn't take away from the fact that the pitt is an amazing show all on its own regardless of fanon.)

I'm aware this is something ain't nobody gonna agree with me on, but Ogilvie appeals to me in such an unfathomable loser way. There is no content for that man and it has me contemplating writing again when I haven't wrote or posted fanfics since I was in middle school.
