The spino is one of the more tragic cases in JP/JW, from what I understand, he was not treated well at all, sounds like he was mistreated and abused, and I don't remember what the source is, but reportedly InGen mercenaries killed his baby, so on top of being abused, and losing his baby to humans, him losing it when the cast arrived on the island was valid.
He had every reason to hate human beings, we have given him literally no reason to trust us as a species, I personally would've done the same if a bunch of hairless primates came into my life and started fucking everything up.
This animal deserved help, how it would've gotten help is a tricky question, you can't really give it therapy. If it was raised in a proper environment with people who handled it with care, things would've gone differently.
